a long time

I found Eric's Unofficial 3E News in October 1999. I started lurking on the Boards a month or so after that. I come back to read the news and story hours almost every day; and I infrequently post.

I was around when Eric was hosted on... what was it, I can't even remember... his own ISP?

And those boards were horrendous. Truly terrible.

I started visiting Eric's Unofficial News almost as soon as he had them up and frequenting his boards as soon as he had those up, but I posted very infrequently until I started a story hour much, much later.

I wish I could remember dates, but it all kind of blurs together.

I've been here since Eric Noah's unofficial 3e news and rumormongering days (and I still miss them- no offense Morrus, things are still fantastic here and I still love it, heck it's my home page, but there's no PH to look forward to anymore!)

I think I found my way here through a link on the Wizards general dnd discussion list. I used to subscribe to it but all the flames got old. Here, the flames never get old...

"c'mon, August!" ring a bell for anyone?

I may -- just may -- have everyone here beat but Eric Noah. :)

I found Eric's site on the third or fourth week of August of 1999 - I don't remember the exact date, but I remember that it was within a week of when he put it up. I remember when Eric used to post regularly to rec.games.frp.dnd and the Wizards newsgroups in their days before their message boards. There wasn't a day that went by back then that I didn't log in daily to check for new 3E tidbits.

The very first boards were those crappy red and black boards in January of 2000, and they changed by april of 2000 into the color scheme that has remained popular even today. I was member #40 on the 2nd generation board.

OK, that's 14.9 of my 15 seconds. Dear God, I can remember when Squirrel Nutkin joined Eric's boards!

I'll go crawl into a corner and gum my strained rice now. :D

I found my way here in early 2000 through a link at WebRPG, once I got here I found it infinitly superior and stayed. I mostly lurked (still do), but eventually signed up. This is the site for D&D!

I occassionally lurked around on Eric's site/boards before the release of Third Edition, but didn't actual register until, oh... February, after it was released. So I'd say that I've been around for quite some time, I guess - longer than it seems. :)

Well I am not much of a computer guy but I got this cool new laptop at work and started looking for help with my games. I found this place about 2 months ago and jut started posting recently. Incidentally I have gotten tons of ideas from you guys and gals, thanks muchly.

I am positive of that as that is when I got a 4-month job that was giving me enormous ammount of surfing time.
I was not keen on the boards untill some few months after but even there, of the people that are here now I only remeber Henry as being ahead of me.
Henry has once pulled out a list of all the old timers (first boards I believe) it would be nice to see it again and check who is arround still.
