How Many Beers per Gaming Session?

I don't drink, and despite being marginally old enough (I think), my players don't drink while gaming.

Haven't got to game in a while but if I do I have no objection to drinking. I'm not a beer man but do like an occassional glass of wine or mixed drink when playing. Back when we got together regularly, two of the gamers would have an occasional beer or two or possibly a bourbon and coke. So i voted 2.

Indeed. What with having a 17 month old baby son to look after, I'm not much of a regular drinker.

Yeah I know, my daughter just turned 2 years and there is another one the way next summer..

My current groups don't drink because it's against the club's by-laws for both insurance reasons and because we let people under 21 join. The members are the usual mix of drinkers and non-drinkers though.

Wow, a much more prudish attitude towards alcohol than I expected.

It just gets in the way of the game. <shrug> ....so no alcohol.

I've been gaming for almost 30 years, over a dozen different groups. I've never been in a group that drank (during gaming). Ever.

Our group consists of half teetotalers. The rest of us enjoy a bit of roleplay lubricant, IYKWIMAITYD.

Neither of my two groups drinks.

When I'm DMing, I find that even one beer wrecks my concentration... and I need every advantage I can get!

When I'm playing, I'd be happy to have a beer or two over the course of the session, but past experience has made me a little hesitatant to open that door.

Previous groups I've been in that did crack beers during sessions got a little *too* casual for my tastes. I'd rather focus on the game and stick to coffee/coke

But if somebody else wanted to crack one or two I wouldn't have a major problem with it.

One guy brings a six-pack each week, but rarely finishes it.

One guy frequently has a single (large) cocktail.

Two others don't drink at all.

Being the owner of the house where we play (and a native Kentuckian) I drink bourbon like a ************* dying man in a ************** desert!

I won't lie, most of my good friends are lushes. We drink..a lot. So of course when we game we drink a bit. Usually 6 beers and a couple shooters of Bushmills. Some nights its more, some nights its less. I'm not sure if I have ever gamed without beers since I've been 18 to be honest. I love beer and beer loves me.
