Over on the Story Hour forum, there's a lot of people that seem to be in two, three, or even more campaigns, so now I'm curious...how many active games do people here play in?

I've got 2-3 right now...one is chronicled in my Freeport Story Hour, one is actually online play at Treyvan MUX, and the third is a game of Exalted with many of the people I play with at Treyvan. (I say 2-3 instead of 3 because we seem to have drifted more away from the MUX and towards the Exalted game.)

I alternate with another GM. That way we both get a break and we have to two campaigns to give ourselves "creative control" which is very important. Remind me some time to tell the story about one guy I co-GM'd with put in a bunch of house rules that oh-so-coincidentally made his character more powerful. Ever since them I'm the only GM for my campaign.

I voted two. We have one D&D campaign in Forgotten Realms running (me as a player), and I'm about to start one in Scarred Lands (me as a DM).

Then we have two potential campaigns; one Hunter: The Reckoning and one Fading Suns (player in both).

Oh, wait. We also have Gemini, but that campaign is down to one session (albeit a twelve hour one...) every four or five months.

So I guess I can possibly have five games running. :D

I DM two (Forgotten Realms and Dragonstar) and playin one Forgotten Realms, one Dragonstar and a Cyberpunk campaign. And, I just realised, Im hopping to playin a Vamp:TM campaign...

Where do I find the time?

Mondays I play a Forgotten Realms campaign.
Tuesdays I play D&D (custom world).
Wednesdays I dropped out of the Werewolf game to give myself a day off.
Thursdays I play another D&D game.
Fridays I run my Greyhawk game.
Alternate Saturdays I play in a Vampire LARP.
Alternate Sundays (the other weekends) I run a Vampire LARP.
Also, I play in an erratic 7th Sea game.

That makes 7. I'm just glad my wife is also a gamer and plays almost as much as I do, or I'd be dead.

To make a long story short, we generally play one person's campaign for a whole story arc - whether that is 2 or 10 sessions; then, we switch to someone else's. So, even though I only play once a week, our group has three on-going campaigns right now.

1st one - 3E Forgotten Realms campaign, set in 1369-1370; Cormyr is currently getting its butt kicked in the "Death of the Dragon" saga - and guess whose adventuring company has just sailed into Suzail???? :D

2nd one - d20 Star Wars - set in New Jedi Order - I GM this one. The Yuuzhan Vong are invading, and I have more or less veered off of the main storyline.

3rd - 3E Flat Earth campaign - uses Faerunian and real-world deities, though the Faerunian ones are dominant. Currently, it is 1947, and World War II has just ended, the Holy Roman Empire has just been defeated, Both Bane's and Corellon Larethian's Avatars are dead, and thanks to our special forces group, the Aristocracy of Romania is now Vampire-Free. We are currently finding out what to do with ourselves in Post-war Europe - or we might participate in the burgeoning English Space program. :D

All this is interspersed with one or two nights of Magic: the Gathering or Battletech here or there, so our gaming is quite active: We just do it one campaign at a time.

I'm not sure how it happened, but here I am married with three kids and I'm in four campaigns:

1 Rifts (player)
3 D&D (2 DM, 1 player)

I think I actually may be role-playing more than when I was single.

I play in two:

One alternates on every other Friday. It is DMed by my wife and one of the players is the DM from my second game...

Which we play every Saturday.

All in all, I am having a lot of fun in both with 2 very different characters:

A Vanaran Rogue/Sorcerer (working towards Arcane Trickster) in one and a Cleric/Paladin of Torm (about to become a Divine Agent) in the other. :)

OK, you've got my attention. Do you have info on this campaign posted anywhere on the net? Sounds interesting...
