Well, for 3 years I've only had one woman in my group. She moved away this month, so it's all guys now. At one time, about 8 years ago, I had 3 women and one male player. One of the women had come from an all female group, where she was the DM for 4 other women. I stopped by once to say hi and watched a bit of their game. They were the most bloodthirsty and cold-blooded group of killers I'd ever seen. *shudder*

I'm in 4 different gaming groups so I'm not sure how to answer this:

Group 1 has 3 male players, 2 female players, and one male DM. This is down from 3 male players, 3 female players, and 2 male DMs.
Group 2 has 3 male players, 1 female player, and one male DM.
Group 3 has 4 male players, 1 female player, and one male DM. This is about to increase to 5 male players.
Group 4 has between 5-6 male players, 1 female player, and 1 male DM.

In a few months Group 1 will retire and hopefully be replaced with 2 male DMs, and 4-5 female players.

My Group

My group has two female players in it; my wife and one of the player's fiance.

I perfer attached female gamers since last time we had an unattached female she caused a lot of chaos. My favorite was when she accused me of being mean beacuse I asked her to not bring her dog to the gaming session because we game in a small house.

Currently, our group has 1-2 female players: my g/f is an infrequent player due to interest in other hobbies. I think, IIRC, our group has had up to 3-4 regular female players at a time; only 1 of them wasn't the g/f of 1 of the male players present.

No women.

And if a women were to join 2 things would have to happen.......
2) She has to pass the "queen-bee test". If she can't stand it that she's not the center of attention, she ain't playing.

...well actually rule 2 applies to both genders...

I agree, have had problems with that issue myself, Last female to play in our group left in tears because she fealt she was bein picked on when the orcs converged on her and he boyfriend's PC because they were the party [they had split off from the rest of the party] with the light sourse visable from down the corridor.

Our group is willing to treat a female gamer as "one of the guys"...whether they like it or not is another question.
