How many "official" classes & PrCs give +1d6 sneak attack at 1st level?

The Cardinal

First Post
with "official" I mean published by WotC (including Dragon, and OA/Rokugan stuff).

I know of

The Rogue
The Ninja (Rokugan)
The Spymaster PrC
The Assassin PrC

anything else? I haven't got S&F on me, so I'm not sure about the Ninja of the Crescent Moon...

(...the Outlaw of the Crimson Road has "Ambush" at 1st level - but this doesn't stack with sneak attack in all cases)

It stacks just like all the others do. If you can sneak attack, you get the damage from both/all classes.

Guild Thief (FRCS)
Soulknife (PsiHB)
Bayushi Deceiver (OA)
Lasher (S&F, Whip or Whip Dagger only)
Ninja of the Crescent Moon (S&F)
Order of the Bow Initiate (S&F, ranged only, 30' limit)

Of course if you are thinking what I think you're thinking you can branch out into some Non-WotC books but you'll still end up with a BAB of like 5.

I have a different under standing of official

I always understood that official is the 3 core books period. Every thing else is fluff. I remember that even if it came out in dragon it was not official.

Has this changed?

AFAIK, official = WotC. You're thinking of "core."

I agree...if you take that many different classes just to have a +17d6 sneak attack at 20th level, you'll only hit on a natural 20 most of the time (because your BAB will stink serious poo poo). That, and your FORT and WILL saves will probably be piss poor. Anyway, food for thought.

Of course if you dual wield weapons of speed, throw a level of frenzied berserker in there (why not? he's messed up as it is), and cast a maxed out divine power out of a ring of spell storing for the BAB of a 20th level fighter.... Nah. That's just too silly.

well...

Human (at 20th level)

Ninja 15 (+8d6, BAB+15)
Rogue 1
Spymaster 1
Outlaw of the Crimson Road 1
Guild Thief 1
Ninja of the crescent Moon 1

Sneak Attack: +13d6, BAB +15/+10/+5, decent saves, lots of nice special abilities...
...I like him: a Killer Jack-of-all-Trades. Give him Combat Reflexes, Expert Tactician, Mobility, Spring Attack, Quick Draw, Flick of the Wrist, plus maybe Weapon Finesse (?), and Weapon Focus (?). Then add a Ghost Touch Dagger +5 of Speed, and a Ring of Blinking, and you're all set.

Yup. 'cept for the 5 organizations that have you on their kill-on-sight lists for divulging organization secrets. Whether you did or not... :)
