just asking.
My 8th level barbarian has damage of 1d12+20 damage.
With that damage i can deal almost 200 points of damage per round.
So is that good, average or bad for 8th level character, cause i dont have a clue? thx

So 200 points is the maximum. Thats not over the top IMO.

It's just that when talking about dishing out damage the maximum number isn't that interesting because: a) it rarely happens b) lot of it is probably wasted because putting your enemy to -1 is usually enough.

Median and average damages are more intresting when describing a character.

I dont remember his stats, but he has belt of giant str +6,
+2 keen greataxe, Str with rage and belt is very high,
and that 200 damage comes if both attack hit with critical.
Just so we're clear: You've got far more gp wealth than a PC of your level should have. Count yourself lucky.

Also: Talk about "average damage per round" rather than max. ....'Cause that "max" ain't gonna happen. Ever.

Maybe the "Let's Make a DEAL!" nature of the campaign extends to the die rolls??? ;)

What Numion said. A 1st lvl half-orc barbarian with 18 Str wielding a scythe and Power Attacking while raging can do a max of 72 pts of damage on a crit. Hardly a big deal, considering the chances of that occurring.

....and WHERE did you get all of this, exactly?

As others have said, you have FAR more money than a character of your level should have.

Now, I understand that you were simply asking whether or not that's a lot for a character of your level- and here's your answer: If you have to make a character bred entirely for battle, AND give him twice as much money as he's supposed to have at a certain level geared entirely towards making his attacks more deadly, AND you're using a weapon with one of the deadliest critical multipliers in the game, AND you're assuming that all of your attacks for the round would be critical hits (at least a 1 in 400 chance) to do 200 points of damage in a single round at level 8, chances are that's a lot of damage for a character of your level.

Ac is 28, 26 when rageing. But how can you get 4 sneak attacks???
Is it the only way to get more sneak attacks when flanking. Since if you move,
you can do only one attack and thus only one extra sneak attack.

Or do i misunderstand the whole attack.

Which one is correct
1) you get your sneak attacks per normal attack. For examble 1 level rogue
Makes two attacks and then also 2d6 sneak attacks

2) you get only one sneak attack bonus. So if you hit say, three hits you get
only one sneak attack which is for level 1 rogue 1d6?

Huh, even i myself dont almost understand this post.

How is the level one rogue getting 2 attacks? Normally a 1st level rogue would get one attack. If he qualifies, he can make it a sneak attack. If the sneak attack hits, in addition to the normal damage for the attack he also does sneak attack damage.

The way you have it above, I am wondering if you think a sneak attack is in addition to a normal attack.

+20 damage... Since the Greataxe is +2, that leaves +18, or a +12 Str bonus... So 34 Str when raging, 30 normally, and a base Str of 24 without the Belt of Giant Strength = something screwy or a non-PHB race and an ECL+ character.

And enough cash to get to 28 AC while wielding a 2-handed weapon as a Barbarian... but no idea how Sneak Attack works. Ah, the sweet days of childhood. ;)
