Are we counting 3rd party material or only WotC?

If the latter, $0

If the former, probably around $101-150 (Rappan Athuk Reloaded, the 3 issues of Dungeon with "Maure Castle" levels, and a couple d20 modules from the 3.0 era)

Probably around $2,000 or so.

YES, this has a big impact on my 4E squeamishness, I am currently a dedicated fence sitter, and even if I do go to 4E it won't be until at least 2009 and the 2nd or higher printing to (hopefully) get the spelling and errata fixes. I had almost all of the 1E AD&D stuff and just skipped 2E altogether so I may just repeat that again and hold out for 5E.

1,000+.

Which is one of the two reasons I am not switching to 4th - the other is the amount of time I have sunk into 3.X - too much stuff to convert. If I were to switch to 4th then I would be better off just starting the whole process over again.

Way over the $1000 mark :heh:

Do you think the amount is at all related to your acceptance of 4.0?
Its a factor, but only in the sense I have ton of 3E stuff that I've not used yet! :uhoh:

Main reason for not going to 4E is that nothing I've read so far persuades me that it's a game I'd want to DM - might give it a shot as a player, but so far every change I've seen so far has been neutral or for the worse from my point of view :(

I voted 200$-300$, but that's because I thought the poll was only about 3.5 stuff. However, if it's all d20 books together, including third party publishers and stuff like d20 modern, etc., and including PDFs, I am also well into the 1000$ range... :(

Easily £500+ ($1,000+) on WOTC and 3rd party materials.

I'm still undecided on 4e - the volume of materials for 3.5 and other systems (CoC, IH, C&C, D20M, Conan, SW, Traveller, and WFRP) that I own are certainly a factor in this, but it's mainly that I'm not sure I like what they seem to be doing with the apparently 'broken' system.

That said I'll definitely be getting the initial core books so I can investigate the new rules properly, but I have yet to be convinced to switch.

I voted $400 to $500 mainly because I worked at a bookstore for several years and bought many books at 30% to 40% off. Also, a few purchases on Amazon when they had books as low as a few cents. Add in books received as gifts, etc.

I'm sure it's well over $1000. I've spent a couple hundred bucks on Huge mini packs alone, not to mention the other minis I have bought. Also, I have the lion's share of the WotC 3e books; several third-party supplements; various accessories (Battlemat pens, wall pieces, etc.); and so forth.

I'm not even counting the cost of gaming snacks or beer, either.

Spent well over $1000 the last year alone on 3.5 books - and yes, I am switching to 4e because I believe it will be a superior system, that will give me more enjoyment out of my DM'ing.
