How often is counterspell used in your games?

I'm starting to think that maybe every combat encounter I run is a Big Boss Fight.

I wouldn't be surprised.

In the game where I'm playing we face much tougher foes than the ones I throw at the players when in DMing - and I've had to homebrew lots of low CR devils, demons and other critters in order to build up a useful interesting arsenal of fodder.

As my campaign has hit higher levels, counterspell is used quite a bit. Once the PCs hit 6th level it began flying around a lot more in combats.
