Where's the option for "I'll switch once I've read the rules and decided 'Yeah, this is better than what I'm playing now'"?

That would fall under, "I don't know if I will switch."

This poll isn't looking good for the "4th edition is a sign of the apocalypse" crowd. 15 people out of 228 so far have voted "Never!!!!" Too bad I don't think that will do anything to prevent them from trying to speak for all of us!

I would like to revise my earlier answer. I'm going to be in the field doing research in June and July. If I can convince the other folks on the research team to play, I'll run a game as soon as I've digested the new rules, playing on a picnic table on an island off the coast of B.C.

This sounds distinctly like the beginning of a horror movie or a Tarrantino flick.

Good luck! ;)

Looks like I will be sticking to C&C and just mining 4E for what I like. I definitely don't see me buying into 4E like I did 3E.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so at this point. Still won't know for sure until I see the real deal.

I feel pretty much the same way. After having bought the PHB, DMG, and various MMs four times over for 3.5 iterations of the game two different UAs, OAs, and Forgotten Realms Campaign Settings, I'm going to hold off until I can get some confirmation that it's "GRAB ME BY THE BALLS AND SQUEEZE SO HARD I CAN'T SIT FOR A WEEK" good.

Don't think I will....
I'll check out the books on the shelf, long before I purchase one and get the SRD to check out things in more detail.
Although I like some of the things I've seen or read and my incorporate them somehow, I am way too invested in my current 3/3.5 campaign that has been going on since before 3E came out (Converted from 2nd AD&D).
Plus my players are not interested in 4E.
