Limit the PC to PHB spells only. It can get difficult if you do not have a spell list in front of you. I used to allow spells from every WOTC supplement, but had to trim back because I find it nearly impossible to scan multiple books and still GM.
The other solution would be to allow the cleric to choose spells in advance, then type them up so you can have a list in front of you.
