Howto build a super-healer?

2 players and one NPC cohort.
I played a pacifist healer in a group with 3 other PCs.

- a Str-based Cleric
- a Shielding Swordmage
- a Barbarian

Know what? The Barbarian makes all healing useful. Even with two Clerics in a 4-person party, we managed to not feel like either was dead weight or a wasted resource.

So it matters which PCs are in your group, as well as how many there are.

Also: Barbarians are hella fun, and so are pacifist Clerics.

Cheers, -- N

The first two are obvious, but how does Aid Other come into the equation?

Aid other says you use a basic attack but do no damage against an AC of 10. (other effects of that attack are not negated)

Power of skill allows you to use Righteous Brand as a basic attack.

So.

Righteous Brand against AC of 10. You negate the damage but still get all the damage and to-hit buffs. This makes your second at-will as useful as Astral Seal in a pacifist build, and gives you a way to help in the 'make fights go faster' department, especially against enemies that are normally really hard to hit.

While I respect your ability to find such exploits within the rules, if you tried that at my table you'd better have the feat "Dodge DMG" :)

Wierdly all elements of the combo really seem intended just for what they are being used for.... its effective but not really out of line with power level...

(other effects of that attack are not negated)
that clause is whay makes it seem working as intended to me.... a normal basica attack doesnt have a lot of effects there for its intended to be applied against some other thing with auxiliary benefits being used as a basic attack.
