AP's covers don't really bother me because it features scantily clad girls. They are just usually cheesy and inappropriate. Bikini armor is silly (and tiring, we've seen them since the 70's, time to move on). General details are silly (look at the way the girl wield her bow on that Doom of Odin cover!). Accessorizing is silly (on the China book, the girl carry a japanese sword). On the Odin and Viking books, exposed skin should be a cold blue, with coldburned black streaks, not an healthy pinkish tone.
Hey, if they did a little research, they would have a good pretext to display boobies on the Egypt book -- noble Egyptian women in these days weared skirts rather than robes. However, that would have supposed getting her a decent long skirt, rather than a string.
But no, they stick with their miniloincloth and minibrassiere scheme. Which is rather alien to the settings. Brassieres and panties are less old than most people think.
