And besides, the DC of the Death Attack isn't that important right now. Add to some of what frandthedm said, I can charm and sleep with all the women while my par.... friends take care of the business. After all, we are just simple traders.

Well, I'd admit I wouldn't want to play a NINJA satyr. But an 11th level Bard Satyr sounds pretty cool. 9 hit dice, high bard-like skills throughout, decent stats, and some Damage Reduction to make up for the missing hit dice. I'd want to take Practiced Spellcaster to shore up the magical end of things, but my Perform check is going to rock.

So a 4th level bard with less hitpoints, worse saves, and nothing better than the cleric. You'll get a second level spell if your Cha is high enough!

Make these up and square them off and tell me that they are balanced.
Heck, make an 11th level bard and put it up against your 4th level satyr bard, that should be a fair comparison right there. (PS, bards suck )

They may not be balanced. I'm not sure how well an 11th level bard would do up against an 11th level Cleric to begin with. But the Bard Satyr will have some pretty strong Perform checks for the Cleric to save against, and although I admit the Satyr has lower hit points, the DR he has is going to be pretty strong against physical blows.

And I don't see how the saves are worse - a 4th level Bard Satyr has a 3 / 9 / 9 for saves (including the +2 he gets for Dex, Con, and Wisdom), and an 11th level Cleric has 7 / 3 / 7 for saves.
