Ah, but what about elfimals, dwarfimals, halflimals, and gnomimals?

That's a possibility. Give canine features to dwarves, feline to elves, vulpine to gnomes, etc. Do not make them truly anthropomorphic animals, with tails and whatever, just a few cosmetic details like cat eyes and whiskers for elves (:D) or Scent for dwarves.

The simplest way to make something original yet easy to grasp is to merge two clichés together.

Gee, thank you. I needed to be told I'm the object of hate for yet another part of my life.

Ah just ignore him --

IMO there is nothing wrong with someone who is a Furry or anything else as long as it doesn't harm anyone or anything

Personally I think anthropomorphics in D&D are actually quite cool and I am on the d20 Furries list in hopes of getting some cool crunch ...We shall see

Now I do find some of the se*ual material objectionable personally but as long as its adults only and I don't have to look at it its none of my business--

I meditate with a d20 in one hand, and a 1978-vintage R2-D2 action figure in my other. :D
You know that meditating with the old Luke Skywalker figure(you know the one, telescoping yellow lightsaber hand) is better if you're involved in Jedi games. ;)

I have never, ever, understood why people don't like Furries. Especially coming from members of the SF or Gaming community. People who routinely dress up as Elves, Klingons and Stormtroopers...
I don't like those people either.

And before anybody says HEHE YOURE AVATARS A FURRY SQUIRREL DUDE LOL I'm going to go build a time machine, tell myself in 1999 that picking the handle "Squirrel Nutkin" is a really bad idea, explain to him what furries are, and then use my 2004 sports almanac to become a zillionaire.

Except the asherake in that picture is just wearing a skull mask over his face, that's not his real face. They are humanoid tigers, with wings.

Check out the picture of the asherake in Minions 3.5. His face is so emaciated that it looks like a skull.

True, but the tip of his lightsaber is bent, and about to snap off, so I try to not handle that one much anymore.

Besides, I usually play a Corellian Scoundrel, so I'll sometimes use the Han Solo figure (the first release, with the puny head).

Yes, but it's an actual squirrel, not an anthropomorphic squirrel-man with a +1 LA and the Cheek Pouch extraordinary ability (may place items in cheeks, as per a Heward's handy haversack).
