Who actualy thinks like this who has a computer?

Many, many, many people. Just having a computer doesn't mean anything anymore, if in fact it ever did. You just need to use a search engine and pop in a few terms to see just how many web sites are out there that not only think we're Satan's Children, but probably think that Chick is too soft and cuddly in his proclamations.

One of my favorite paranoia/conspiracy/religion sites has to be The Cutting Edge . If you can't use this thing to find inspiration for Call of Cthulhu, Unknown Armies, or d20 Modeern, then you're not really trying :)

Did you know that our government can control the weather at any place on the globe, AND that this device can also be used for mind control? Talk about getting you money's worth. It's all here .

And, hey! D&D even has part in the Grand Conspiracy that links everything. Though we don't rank as high as evil Rock and Roll. We're just not trying hard enough, guys! The Symbol is there. I mean, really. We don't even rank as far as the House of Rothchild.

Personally, I'm embarrassed.

Then we have Demon Busters right here in my home town. Did you know that Diabetes is caused by demonic possession?

Check out The Fruitcake Zone as well.

Wow, that site has some funny links. The best is the timeline of human history, where absolutely nothing happens between the destruction of the temple in 70 AD and the reestablishment of israel in 1948. The entire time period from 2000 BC to 0 AD is described as "God deals with Jews for the next 2000 years."

Oh, and apparently organized religion is set to worship the antichrist for the next 3.5 years.

That said, a lot of this stuff could make for interesting d20 modern plots :)

It's actually quite a shock for me, since such an anti-DnD lobby doesn't exist hete in the Netherlands. I really can't believe that people can be so short-sighted and intollerant. It is this kind of ignorance and intollerance that keep the wars going. the writer of this comic probably hates muslims, jews asians and blacks too.
S

and the mormons
and the catholics
and the native americans
it goes on...

The great thing about the tract for Native Americans is that it has no words... because they must be illiterate!

Fortunately, these people have fallen out of the public influence, as was mentioned.

he's crazy, but he's not www.timecube.com crazy

Who is this Chick person? its the first i've ever heard of them.

The cartoon on the link I found immensely amusing, its far to ludicrously silly to even consider some people think that way.

twisiting the words of the bible to suit someones own somewhat warped interpretation of the meaning therein in order to attempt to convince people something "that" individual doesn't like is unacceptable in the eyes of thier religion is just sad and very self serving.

Doesn't the bible say Judge not lest ye be Judged..? theres only one person in the position to judge anyone if there is a god i'd say and that is god him/herself, and last time I checked God was about love, understanding and forgiveness, kindness to others etc..

I think this Chick person needs to take some time out and rethink things a little as he apparently doesn't understand that his god isn't the canvass upon which he can paint his own version of the world according to Chick.

I don't think he'd have liked my R.E teacher much he was our GM during secondary school and a total RPG fan and a devout christian to boot. And I can say he never once offered to teach me any real spells (mores the pity :D).

Anyway enough ramble from me on this subject, I'm not even what you'd term religious myself, but this just left me chuckling at the sheer ridiculousness and extremity of what this Chick person thinks RP leads too.

Ah... good old Jack Chick... gotta love the bastard... :D

Of course the parody is even better...

"Oh no! We were just unwinding with a little live-action Call of Cthulhu. Want to touch my octopus?"

Classic, simply classic. :D

yeah, and he's been doing it for... what, like 30 years now? :)

these things are so funny, you might just think he's just been doing it all as a joke/hoax all this time. ;)

Maybe he has been doing it as a piss-take.

This one is fricking hilarious. Or just plain scary that god could really be like that.

James
2:14
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
2:15
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
2:16
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
2:17
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
2:18
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
2:20
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
