I have TWO wishes. Help please!!

What spell-like abilities do you want?

The wishes are coming from a ring of wishes. I've already tried just wishing to be smarter using the sentence: "I wish to be smarter." and the DM screwed me with it.

The length limit is one paragraph, five sentence's. No longer than 1/2 page. The DM has done his best before to mess with my "trial" wishes.

Spell-like Abilities: Haste, Arcane Sight, or Fireball.

Any ideas on how I need to word a wish to be hasted permanently? Without the possibility of be screwed over by the DM.

In this case, your DM is being an ass. Especially coming from a Ring of Wishes, the wish "I wish to be smarter" should have no negative results. It will simply raise your Inteligence by 1.

You might want to talk to him about that.

He screwed me by saying, "Okay, you're now smarter than a toad. Your Int is 4."

Also, I can't sell the ring because he said I can't take it off until all the wishes are used, meaning one of the other 2 rings I have I can't use. Oh, well.

I wish that I permentently be under the effect of the spell haste. It is not my desire for the intent of my wish to be perverted, so no adverse effects must result from this wish.

If you have a few sentences to work with, you can add in a disclaimer, asking that the intents of your wish not be distorted.

And for your protection, if you wish for a permentent haste, I'd ask for the ability to suppress the power at will.

Your Dm is stupid ... you want to be smarter he took your wish and get you to 4 int ... when you say you want to be smarter you don't specify from who you are smarter ... maybe that's the problem but it beiegn an ass ... as some said the ring is not intelligent and doesn't want to screw you ... unless a efreet got transformed in a ring ad can't be free before the wishes are used... which would lead to grant you benifiting wishes(except the last one as he becomes free and want to kill you) because he want you to use all wish so he can be free...

If your DM was dumb enough to give you one (unless you earned it somehow), he should be man enough to give you exactly what you ask for, within the guidelines listed in the PHB. If he gave you INT 4, I'd tell him he needs to reread the description for how to adjucate Wishes, and tell him you'll be at home playing Diablo II until he adjucates it fairly. Maybe he was having a bad day, give him a way out, but do not accept terrible rulings (rulings for which there are actually different possible answers are different, you can ask why, but should be man enough to accept them.)

If you really want to sell it you can try, "I wish the ring of wishes that currently resides on my finger was no longer on my finger and instead inside my money pouch/backpack."

And if you just want to dump the ring because you don't want to be screwed when you slip and say something like, "I wish I were dead!." *Zap* Then you can simply state, "I wish the ring of wishes that resides on my * finger contained no more wishes."

And if the DM is stead fast about being a pain then you are screwed even if you wish for a single gold piece.
