D&D (2024) I just got a 2024 PHB From Gen Con. AMA!

Thanks! Honestly, I thought it'd be more different. The fact that the Lady of Pain is the one who blocks multiversal wishes is...

Well, it makes sense with what we see in Die Vecna Die!, it's just not very subtle.
Basically, she blocks anything that would mess with Sigil, and Sigil happens to be inside the multiverse.

Actually, alignment gets more attention! I was surprised. There are tables for characteristics based on alignment.
That looks more like characteristics based on the ability scores. Is there another set of tables for characteristics based on alignment?

Thanks for sharing the druid spell list. Looks like it’s still heavily weighted towards concentration spells. 😕

As for the GWM feat – the wording seems odd to me. Why would anyone not choose to add the extra PB damage? Why not just say that all attacks with heavy weapons deal extra PB damage? Why is it an optional thing? The mind boggles.

The optional part makes think about it being once per turn. So you can choose which attack to apply the extra damage too. However, the clearly removed that part of it. IDK

That part is titled Heavy Weapon Mastery, so I wonder if it's intended to be an additional mastery feature, and you have to choose between applying it or your weapon's own mastery feature.

I agree that it's awkward to have it only apply on your turn, having to have conditional bonuses to damage is a pain, especially on a VTT.

Oh yes now I see it. It’s worded that way because you don’t get to add the extra damage on attacks you make on other people’s turns (e.g. Opportunity Attacks).

@DavyGreenwind I always liked the nice compact set of conditions at the back of the 2014 PHB. Are they presented similarly in the current one, and do any have significant changes from their 2014 versions? Any additions or removals?

From what I’ve seen, the conditions are all mixed in with the alphabetical rules glossary and labelled with “[condition]”, so I would be surprised if there is also a list of just the conditions.

I liked that too btw.

The DM screen has them all in one place
