Ebay. Amazon, and Amazon stores. These make just about anything easy to get, even if it's been out of print/unavailable for years. My brother even has a pretty good side income from buying and reselling computer components through them.
Mapquest. How did I ever find anything without it?
ENWorld and other communities like it. Before ENWorld, I was part of a similar (though much smaller) community that had much of the same feel (although devoted to the Heroes of Might and Magic series of computer games.) It's fun to belong to a virtual community.
iTunes, MSN Music, etc. Any place where you can order one song at a time for pretty cheap, and have it delivered right to your desktop.
I just do not get the whole Wikipedia thing. My brother just asked me to look over a friend's paper for an English class. She used wikipedia as a primary reference and was the only source she actually quoted.
I returned the paper and told her that she needed to find some real sources for her data.
EN World Metacrawler
The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) Encyclopedia Mythica
BLOGGER
NHL.com
Yahoo! Groups
The Order of the Stick
Renderosity.com
Amazon.com
And several "internet model" websites I can't mention here.
[EDIT]
I forgot e-mail. How could I forget my main means of communication with the outsider world.
[/EDIT]
I like being able to access info and opinions about my favorite money pit..er..hobby here on ENWorld, email (I love it so bad), and search engines. Pr0n has lost its glitter for me.
