Just about all of my wife's dice are purple, pink or forest green.

Yeah, her mom just wants dice in any color that provides a high enough visual contrast; she she's getting forest green and white.

On a semi-related note, I just picked up some dice as a birthday present for a friend of mine who recently started playing. She seemed to have trouble distinguishing between the various shapes, so when I got her a set I colour-coded her dice: 4 red d4s, 4 blue d6s, 4 white d8s, etc. I made sure the d20 was green for 'go'.

The dice bag was fairly girly: black velvet exterior with a purple satin interior.
