I need some rocket launchers.

Ah, ok thanks for all your info guys. My player googled me this link with a picture of what he wants. Not Rate of Fire two, but a Clip of two.

FWIW depending on the background/location of your campaign you might want to consider the difficulty involved in obtaining chinese military hardware by said player...

What you want is Big Bang: The Mostly Illustrated RPG Guide to Modern Weapons: Special Edition. It covered a wide array of weapons used in Operation: Iraqi Freedom on all sides.

It covers:
Soviet made Iraqi weapons:
3 RPG-7 variants and the RPG-2, plus 12 different types of rockets usable in them.
SA-7 Grail and SA-14 Gremlin MANPADS (MAN Portable Air Defense System)

US weapons:
FIM-92 Stinger MANPADS
Javelin ATGM
M136 AT-4
M141 BDM
M3 MAAWS with 8 different types of rockets
4 versions of the M47 Dragon
6 versions of the M72 LAW
USMC SMAW with 4 different types of rockets

and if that's not enough, it also gives you the M203 with 13 different types of grenades (yeah I know it isn't a rocket...)

British:
Milan ATGW

And Volume 3 of the series covered the US Army Future Combat Systems program, including:
AT-8 Bunker Buster
MPIM/SRAW
Predator SRAW

Is that enough man portable rocket and missile systems for ya?

Anyway, as for your player's demands, he's not going to get ROF 2. It's impossible. These weapons are single shot systems than need to be reloaded between shots. The reloading process often includes rocket assembly/arming and/or electronic diagnostics processes before the weapon can be fired.

The two books I mentioned are available from RPGNow. For the special edition, you want the revised version. It's got extra weapons.

The Mk19 is a crew served, belt fed, blowback operated fully automatic weapon.

It is a VERY different animal than the one used by Ahhnold in T2 & described by Mordane76. That was a drum fed semi-auto weapon that is basically an upscaled version of the South African street-sweeper shotgun.

Thanks! My mother's active duty... she's trained on the Mk19... but obviously, I didn't get to watch... :( Sorry for my mis-interpretation.

I think the Milkor would be better. I will now crawl back into my hole... :D

Thank you both for pointing out your products, but i simply asked for stats for one weapon, not for books where to find em. I already know about these books. I would have bought them already if i could have afforded them. Especially since they are d20modern books. But i have to pick and choose what i get when i can barly pay rent.

.... Or perhaps another source?

With that phrase, especially since you mention Weapons Locker in the next sentence, lead people to believe that you wanted gaming sources to be listed.

And while it is nice to have authentic stats, it's no crime to fudge them either, especially in a game where it looks like you're planning to lean more towards action movie than historical.

The real balance in this case is the ease of access as compared to how much damage and ROF it has.

Relax, let the game be fun.

Heh, he changed his mind and wants this.

As for difficulty. Its obviously a Miltary Restriction which is a +3 bonus to the Purchase DC via the black market. I figure the Base Purchase DC would be 15 or 17 for this, right?

any helpp for the rest of the stats?

Most of the stats will be exactly the same as the M72A3 LAW since it is essentially nothing more than 4 of them strapped together.

I would put the Base Purchase DC up around 20 or so. It's not a common weapon & will be harder to get ahold of than the standard LAW (which has a DC of 15).

If you go by the letter of the description it IS a semi-auto weapon. If you follow that to the letter balance could quickly become an issue.

If you allow it to be used semi-auto I would seriously think about additional AB penalties for each shot beyond the first (or some other balancing mechanism). If your player complains, gently remind him that firing 66mm HE rockets isn't quite the same as squeezing off rounds from a 9mm pistol.

Dana, what versions of the Stinger and Strela-2 did you write up, and how did you differentiate them in d20 terms? I did some ridiculously detailed writeups in GURPS (right down to crate weights) but am not sure if that kind of detail is supported in d20. No, I haven't purchased Big Bang (and won't if it's too bland in that kind of detail). Thanks.
