I really hope the new adventure path is Mass Effect

So apparently nobody here hangs out at CircvsMaximvs, eh?
Is there an update posted there?

I barely have enough time to spend at EnWorld, let alone another gaming forum. :) Between work related forums and the fact that I am a developer makes it so that I am in front of a PC all friggin day.

Not to crush anyone's hopes, but it's something that a tiny corner of the internet (i.e. EN World) can afford, which isn't a lot! But it's something I've been a fan of for years, and yes, it's a book (not a TV show, movie, or video game). I'm quite excited about it. It's from an author who has won a lot of awards (HUGOs and Nebulas and stuff).

But is is a real, grown-up, proper license; it also has not yet been signed, but I expect it to be in the next few days. And in other news late last year I licensed :w: out to a company, and there will be news about what that company is doing very, very soon. So I've been busy with secret stuff!

Oh, and don't forget :z:, too!

Dunno if anyone's still reading this thread, but if you are - I can now confirm that the adventure path is based on Mike Resnick's SANTIAGO.

lol, that one did cross my mind. Always did like Mike Resnick. It is somewhat of a rather generic space opera sort of setting, but there's some fun color, and it is both rather light hearted and gritty at the same time. Probably work pretty well using 4e as a core too.

Too bad my local library system doesn't have it... :erm:

I can't do much about your local library, but it is on Amazon - pretty cheap, too.

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Santiago-Myth-Future-Mike-Resnick/dp/0812522567"]Amazon.com: Santiago: A Myth of the Far Future (9780812522563): Mike Resnick: Books[/ame]

And you can read various bits of it there, too.
