I want a Gritty Power Source!

Power Sources are the thing in 4th Edition! There's a nature Source, an arcane Source, a Martial source, a divine source, etc. Why shouldn't there be a Gritty Power Source? It would be awesome! I can imagine it now....

Gritty Power Source Defender

What, did you expect this class to have a name? Class names are luxuries for classes who have time to sit around and think of cool class names. The Gritty Power Source Defender spents his time on a little task called stayin' alive!

MacGyver (the gritty controller)

A MacGyver can defeat monster just as well as other classes. What makes him different you may ask? He can do it with just a broken dagger handle, 4 inches of rope, and 2 days worth of trail's rations.

What other cool classes, powers, items would be good for the gritty power source? Are my ideas gritty enough?
