I want to get rid of all my 2e stuff...

I want to get rid of all my D&D 2e stuff and am considering putting it all up in one or two lots on Ebay. There's probably around 50 books or so. Is it worth it? Will I get any bids on it? It's mostly rulebooks and sourcebooks, rather than adventures.

There is some 2e stuff that sells well. I'm pretty sure the Planescape stuff does well. The best thing to do is take some time and do searches on e-bay for finished sales (used the "advanced search" option) and see what the stuff you have is going for.

I'm not really that knowledgeable on 2e stuff, I'm just going by what I've heard. Try asking on The Acaeum Forums and see what they say. It's mainly 1e there, but some of them collect everything.

2ed like the newer editions just ain't pulling in the cash.

even the 1ed stuff fell when the newer editions got cranked up.

OD&D is the only thing holding its own pricewise.

Well, some people stockpile weapons, and diaglo stockpiles...well, you know where this leads.

I've heard the Planescape stuff sells fairly well. I suspect you could get a fair amount for those boxed sets, and some of the less popular PS soft covers.

Al-Qadim stuff is also in demand, especially MC13, which apparently had a very tiny print run. I remember all the people on the Al-Qadim list at one time talking about how freaking rare that one was. There are some other boxed sets for Al-Qadim that are also hard to come by.

I suspect any of the 2e core books aren't going to get sold at all, likewise for the 2e splat books.

I'll be finding out what most people are willing to pay for it I'm going to be selling off virtually all my 1E, 2E, Champions, Cyberpunk, World of Darkness, books plus lots of peripheral stuff like RoleAids, DragonQuest, Traveller (Original and New Era), and lots more as I find it.

I really SHOULD clear out the stuff I don't use and don't have a nostalgic bone in my body for.

I even have a T1-4 that I could care less about.
