I skipped a lot in high school, some in college, dropped out and skipped five years in fact, then less so when I went back and finished my degree (magna cum laude, IIRC - or was it summa cum laude? whichever one was the lesser one).
I feel guilty these days because I'll check my schedule for morning meetings the night before. Then, when the alarm goes off in the morning, if I
really don't feel like getting up right then, I won't. When this happens, I'm usually only about an hour late getting to work. A few people give me looks, but everyone is pretty used to it by now. And they are all long gone when I leave. And I never see any of them when I'm in on the weekends.
In the end, my job doesn't require me to be there during all of the 'normal' office hours, my boss
knows how many hours I put in, thanks heaven I'm salaried so she doesn't have to pay me OT, and doesn't say anything about it. In the past, I've had bosses who would have been concerned about what others might think, but this one is pretty cool about the whole thing. She even promoted me earlier this year.
But I still feel guilty when I check my schedule to see if sleeping in is a possibility the next day...
