I just recieved all the items I bought off EBay, and found a couple of Surprises:

There was a 2018 tenth printing edition with foil/shiny covers! I ended up getting that version of the DMG, and MM. (haven't unsealed the boxed set collection yet, so I don't know it they too are like this)

Does anyone know if this is just a fancy print run, or if they include errata/ updates?

I just thought it was kinda cool, lol.

Yes, I have that slipcase set. All three books and the DM screen have the shiny foil cover treatment, and they include all the errata that was issued up to that point.

I am currently waiting for the 2024 revisions to get the bundled, errata’d treatment before buying them in hard copy.

The 5e DMG and MM?

yes. they reminded me of the fancy rare, Yu-Gi-Oh cards you'd occasionally pull. Fun game, but wow, what a money pit!
There’s also a slipcase with the Expanded Rules (Tasha’s, Xanathar’s, and Mordenkainen’s) that gives them the fancy foil treatment, if you’re interested.

A friend of mine has kept playing Yu-Gi-Oh and actually makes some good money from opening packs and reselling cards. So I guess there's at least a way to find more money to throw into the pit, if you're savvy enough.

There's also a "player's set" - Tasha's, Xanathar's and Mord's Monsters of the Universe with alternate, white covers. Both the Tasha's and Xanathar's books in that set should have the latest 2014 errata included for those two books.

I actually got that set. It was cheaper, on Ebay than buying them individually. Too bad I already had Mordenkainens.
