I6: Ravenloft (adapted to 3.x) - OOC Thread - CALLING MY PLAYERS!

OK, Delkat's crunch is done and uploaded to RG w/ a few fixes from the above post. Just need to work on his background, of which I have a few ideas.

Mechanically he looks good. However, can you fill me on the two magic items below?

Ephod of Authority
Eternal Wand of Magic Weapon

I'm assuming an Eternal Wand doesn't run out of charges, but the price seems way too low to me for something like that.

As for what we need, I think we have a lot of the bases covered, with the exception of someone to uncover traps and disable them.

Of course, feel free to play whatever you want, I'm sure more divine-types won't be a bad thing where we're going ;)

It was a little crazy with all the traveling and yesterday my daughter decided to be a cranky pants. It's totally unlike her so I gave her a pass but made for an interesting 6 hour trip home.

For characters, I really like to play something *useful*. I had also thought about rogue...

No worries! I spent most of the day yesterday hanging with my mom, so I'm a bit behind now myself.
Good to hear, I'm sure your Mom appreciates it. ;)

Echoing Renau1gs statement, I think the primary roles are covered, with the exception of the "rogue" area. That said, you can still play anything you want. I don't mind if a role isn't covered particularly well. While S@s character is going to be able to handle healing nicely, Nebten's cleric is going to be extremely lacking in healing, and aimed more at tanking.
Okay, I will think a little more on it but now I am leaning towards rogue. The other ENW game I am playing in I am also playing a rogue which is why I originally crossed it off my list. However, it's a sort of 1st edition / more storytelling type game and feels less rougish and more about my background (if that makes sense). Rogues are some of those characters that you can have two and they are so totally opposite creatures.

I think you guys are more excited to get going that I am at this point. LOL. But let's set a tentative date of June 1st for the start of the game...so let's say May 25th as the deadline for characters to be finished. That will give me a week to check them over. Sound fair?
That sounds like plenty of time for me! I like to have help with my characters because while I have all the books in my basement there is no way I can pour through *all* of them to find all the cool options. So I'll post some basics then am open to suggestions from the peanut gallery. ;)

Oh, I also forgot to mention (don't think it was in the house rules I posted), that all casters in my game automatically get the Eschew Materials feat.

I can help out the eternal wand question.

From MIC 159, eternal wand can hold any arcane spell of 3rd or lower level, functions 2/day

Sorry about the additional post Rhun, but I have to add the background for my items into the RG. I'll keep working, but it should be mostly done :)

As renau1q said, Eternal Wands function 2x/day and can hold spells 3rd level or lower.
1st level Eternal Wands cost 820gp.

The Ephod of Authority is in the MIC -- part of the Vestments of Divinity magic item set, and it goes on the torso -- in the picture below, it is on the chest. It increases your effective level for turning undead by 1.

Sounds fair. Consider them approved.
