I6: Ravenloft (adapted to 3.x) - OOC Thread - CALLING MY PLAYERS!

Excellent... a potential to work covertly from the inside against the other PC's...I managed to get this once in my RL game, the PC wizard decided to work for the BBEG instead of against him (he was a high level politician in the goverment and the PC's couldn't directly move against him)...

Right, which is one more reason I want mature players, who can really get into the roleplaying challenge. I'm not going to pit PC vrs PC, but if someone gets vamped by Strahd (yes, I know the proper term is "sired"), things could happen.

hmm.. 6th lvl and the possibility of conversion or vampification? In that case I'm gonna have to say interested.

Well, that makes 6 interested people, which is enough to form a decent size party. You 6 will obviously get first dibs when I put together the recruitment thread. I'm willing to go with as many as 8 PCs, because I know a couple will probably drop after the game starts, but I've found that 6 is an ideal party size.

Since there is enough interest here, please keep your eyes open for the recruitment thread. It probably won't appear before this weekend since I have a bit of work to do yet, but I belive I shall proceed with running this.

You are always welcome in my games S@s. I've only played through the first bit of EtCR, so I don't know how similar they really are. I know the zombie horde in town and the aberration at the church are NOT part of the original adventure. So I'm guessing things are quite different?

Maybe somebody else can weigh in and clear that up.

As I have not played either Ravenloft nor finished EtCR, I'm not sure how similar they are, but I would bet that both have a vampire named Strahd.

But, if they are dis-similar enough, I would have to call dibs on a cleric, just so that I could attempt to break my divine-pc-dooms-pbp games hex.

Rhun, considering how many qualified people have expressed interest, maybe you should skip the recruitment thread, close recruitment, and turn this thread towards character creation. Even if you don't close recruitment I don't see a need for a new thread.

That's 8. I'm still waffling on character level for the game, but if you want to think about some character concepts, that would be perfect. Just concepts for now, since I haven't given any actual character build details yet.
