I6: Ravenloft (adapted to 3.x) - OOC Thread - CALLING MY PLAYERS!

Good stuff... thanks!

If you're concerned about the power level of the PC's I can multiclass into another class, possibly Wizard to somewhat mitigate Sarryx's PL.

Not so worried about your Dragonfire Adept yet. More worried about not ever being able to touch Jemal's PC, and the power level of S@s' when it comes to undead...luckily, undead are tougher to turn in Ravenloft, which should at least balance things out on that account.

Rhun,

Have you had a chance to look over Sarryx's fluff information? I want to make sure it would fit in your campaign.

Thanks!

I like the background and it can fit into my setting, but it seems to have a major flaw: your PC is Lawful Good, and sounds like he was originally a Silver Dragon. But the background in no way fits that of a good dragon.

When reading renau1q's background, I too, took a while to understand it.

But what I think is that he was born a red dragon (due to breathing fire), and was transformed into a LG-minded human by the artifact.

Then why was it a silver dragon that flew away?

He opened his eyes to see a silver dragon standing over him, almost too large for his ruins. It held talons above his throat - now scaleless, soft and vulnerable. Then it withdrew, an act of mercy, pity or contempt, and flew away.

Possibly the paladin was a silver dragon in human form?

But then again, the paladin's sister was killed by the dragon, so, that would have made her a possible silver dragon as well.

Yes s@s has it right, born a CE red dragon, paladin was an elf paladin of Sivar. The artifact was a reverse alignment and also stole Sarryx's draconic essence, leaving him a mortal and the elf into a silver dragon (reflecting his LG alignment).

Reason silver dragon left Sarryx alone was that one of two things would happen, if the artifact failed to reverse alignment, then it would be a pain worse than death for a powerful dragon to be turned into a mortal, or if it did work, then it would turn the formerly evil dragon into an agent of good and allow for a chance at repentance...

Actually my final AC will DROP if I do the expertise thing instead, b/c as it stands now I'm using defensive action to gain the shield bonus and then adding combat expertise.

Basically I want to drop the defensive action so I don't have such a low attack bonus, without loosing too much AC.

Here's my AC/Attack breakdown:

Right now:
Base AC 26, Defensive fighting 31, Combat Expertise 36.
Attack bonus: Base +11/11/6, Defensive + 7/7/2, Expertise +2/2/-3
IF I make the changes, it'll turn into:
Base AC 25, Expertise 32
Attack bonus: Base +11/11/6, Expertise +6/6/1

I deal 1d6+4 damage, with an additional D6 whenever I use defensive/Combat Expertise.

EDIT: I just realized something after writing that out.. If I were to drop combat Expertise it would accomplish pretty much the same thing, as my defensive stats are AC 31 +7 attack, as opposed to the alternate build's AC 32/+6... it's a 1 for 1 trade.
SO I guess never mind *L* I just saved myself a feat by typing that out.
