IA: A Teacher for Laynie

"Thank you Professor Galton, I won't disapoint."

OOC: Now vanitri does his research and works on it with Laynie's assistance (Mostly to keep her busy, but he has a feeling she'll help him more than he'd otherwise like to admit.

*On skimming the entirity of the question body, Vanitri discovers that similar questions are spread out, probably deliberately, and need to be reordered to do similar topics at the same time. More interestingly, one of the random pages in the middle has instructions directing him to return that page back to Professor Galton within an hour of starting the test.*

*Professor Galton looks up and nods as he takes the page from Vanitri.*

"Good. That was an effort to save you some time, one way or the other. If you didn't go through first and make a plan, there was no way you were going to finish in time, so I was just going to kick you out after an hour if you didn't return with that. Good luck."

*After Vanitri returns to the library, he gets started working. He counts over 200 pages of questions to answer. Fortunately, Laynie already knows the answer for about 10 of them, and she sort of knows about another 10. Of course, it still takes time to translate the answer from the way Laynie says it to a way he understands and then finally to a written response.*

*Fortunately, Laynie devours books at an astonishing rate, something that is easier to appreciate now during a time crunch than it was yesterday when she was floating on a disk in the background. She doesn't like answering the longer questions though, which is just as well because it wouldn't do for it to look like a 5-year-old wrote the answer, but she likes reading the books, so they work it out so that Laynie reads ahead through the library books and finds the relevant passages and then moves on to the next book, leaving them bookmarked or open so Vanitri doesn't have to spend almost any time looking for the right place for the answer, except for a few questions where Vanitri and Laynie can't find the right book for a while and they both have to go through a whole bunch before one of them finds it, usually Laynie because she reads faster. After 10 hours of work and another hour of eating, they have successfully answered all but 9 of the questions. No matter how hard they search through the library, they can't find the answer for those questions. By this time, a decent number of students have noticed them taking the exam. Some of the girls especially seem to think that Vanitri researching together with Laynie as a tag team is adorable, and a few of them sit nearby to watch, smiling when they catch Vanitri's eye and waving to Laynie.*

Vanitri smiles at the girls, and then tries to get at least an idea of what the last 9 questions are about (if there is a similarity, or perhaps a topic they are on), and then he asks the librarian for an overview, hoping that might provide some insight.

*The questions are on completely different topics, and they don't seem to be covered in any of the books on similar topics. All of them are extremely advanced and detailed questions. Vanitri gets an overview from the librarian, which is apparently read directly off a script the librarian was given so it will always be the same. It is a generally useful overview, and in fact, it gives several specific pointers that would have made 10 of the trickier questions that Vanitri and Laynie already answered substantially easier in hindsight. However, it doesn't help at all with the last 9 questions.*

"Librarian, are there any other place to find more advanced books than the library? Where could I find them?"
