IA: A Teacher for Laynie

*As soon as he removes the gag, the girl speaks in a melodious, if a tiny bit parched, voice:*

"Thank you for rescuing me, good sir, but...please, we must go back for my spellbook. You can leave my jewels behind, but that book means a lot to me. I think they stashed it in the closet. Please?"

"I'll see what I can do, but you must listen. If I don't return, take Eirian and warn the Freefolk to guard the Seer's crystal ball, and then you need to head off your troops who are heading to attack them. You need to protect the Talisman as well."

He puts her on Eirian, and heads back, finding a good spot and porting back into the room, likely on the bed.

"I understand," she nods her assent, though she doesn't seem to completely understand what is going on, "Ohhh wow! Is that a lunari? She's so pretty!"

----

*He closes his eyes and concentrates, leaping through reality and onto the bed. The one dark elf who had remained in the room and was standing by the bed is thoroughly surprised.*

(OOC: Surprise round and you're next to the enemy. Also, you won Initiative after that)

Vanitri quickly minces the one drow in the room.

OOC Muhaha, supprise, tremmor sense, and now sneak attack! (OOC and hight advantage)

(OOC: I'll save Invisible Castle the trouble this time :p. These drow are not pushovers, and you may have lost a straight-out fight against all three at once, but you aren't going to miss him flat-footed enough for him to survive that assault--heck, *you* wouldn't survive that assault flat-footed either :p)

*After making quick work of the hated nesfylim, he searches in the closet and finds the aforementioned spellbook, as well as a fine velvet satchel containing far more than it should, including jewelry and a few sets of fine clothes fit for a royal court.*

(OOC: Just for fun--

Surprise--3 + 21 = 24, Hit
21 Damage

15 + 21 = 36 (Confirmed), 5 + 16 = 21, 7 + 11 = 18, Two Hits
52 Damage

6 + 21 = 27, 12 + 16 = 18, 19 + 11 = 30 (not confirmed), Three Hits
50 Damage

Total 123)

*He blinks through a ripple in the material plane, book and satchel in hand, to find the girl waiting for him on Eirian.*

"Oh thank you so much--you got everything! I'm sorry for putting you into danger again," she leans over and gives him a grateful kiss.

(OOC: Going to answer her earlier question about 'is this a lunari'?)

"Glad I could help, but we're not done yet. I got to go warn the freefolk, and then prevent your people from killin 'em. And yes, Eirian is a Lunari."

Vanitri mounds up and urges Eirian towards the freefolk. "Hold on, this may be some hard riding."

OOC: If Vanitri can speed up the riding in any way, he'll help do so.

"I may not look it much, but I'm no stranger to riding...there's nothing I like more than riding my horse out amongst the outside world, reveling in nature's bounty...when I can get away with it, at least," she looks over at him, a bit curious, "So, I guess you know who I am then?"

(OOC: There's a rather interesting strategy you can try to speed things up. What you can do is let Eirian gallop at full speed and then you can DDoor whenever it pops up, effectively adding a large amount of extra speed to the base speed. Thanks to the saddle, you take Eirian for free, and Miss Lyrue is light enough to get her too.)
