IA: A Teacher for Laynie

(OOC: Did you not see it originally or just forget? :p)

*He closes his eyes and listens to the song of the earth around him, feeling for a ripple in the essence of reality. He quickly grasps upon it and bends the world, taking a single step that moves him from his spot in the kitchen all the way to the lower stairs. He ascends the stairs quickly, and he sees a single dark elf guarding one door and another resting on a bed in another room whose door is ajar. If he walks all the way up the stairs, the sentry will almost certainly spot him.*

Vanitri will wait a few moments, and then d-door his way past this other guard.

OOC: Sorta remember, but didn't realize it. I always remember thinking the Horizon Walker sucked. Now I think I might endup doing a little bit of it with Shadowdancer when all is said and done.

OOC2: Did you see my Darksun game pointer? Working on a Pterran Psi-war now.

*Closing his eyes and concetrating, he waits for the tide of the world's essence to ebb and flow, grabbing on at just the right moment and vanishing from where he stands, instantly reappearing on the other side of the door. Inside the room, he sees a dazzingly beautiful girl with long blonde tresses. Her eyes are closed, and her regal grace is marred by a bruise on her head indicating a knockout blow, as well as plenty of mud spattered over her simple traveling clothes, and a bit of blood as well. She is tied to the bed roughly, the tightness betrayed by the white lines on her nearby flesh where the blood is constricted.*

(OOC: Yeah, a few of the powers are wicked sweet for a scoutish type)

(OOC2: Saw it. Still reading the thing on athas.net. Should I post before I'm done reading? I only know a bit about Dark Sun, but what I know I like a lot)

Vanitri quietly unties her, careful to try not to wake her. He will then gentilely pick her up, and then d-door out the window close to his mount. If she wakes, he will put one finger over his lips, and one over hers, trying to get her to be quiet.

OOC: Yeah, posting can't hurt. Particularly if you have an idea. You might enjoy the clerics of this world.

(OOC: I know about them. They're elemental types. I would probably like being a Templar more, but they aren't the nicest fellows and the GM wants good characters. I actually know a good deal about the 2e crunch of Dark Sun, but not really the fluff or the 3e conversions)

*As he approaches the sleeping princess, but before he reaches her, he must have triggered some sort of magical spell in place around the area, as a loud alarm blares through the air around him. He hears cursing in Undercommon as the door slams open, the guard glaring at him balefully as he yells for backup.*

(OOC: You win Initiative. You are 15 feet from the dark elf and 10 feet from the princess. Dimension Door is not back yet.)

OOC: I almost made a cleric, but came up with a cool Pterran Pwy-war concept. Thought about making an Elf Psy-rogue, but that didn't work as well.

Vanitri will draw his weapons and back towards the princess. He will ready an action to attack the Drow if it comes within range.

(OOC: Psywars are awesome. I'm convinced that a build similar to the one I made with Jharvym is one of the most combat-able, but I've seen a lot of other fun ones too. It is a fine example of how a medium BAB 6 level casting class can be built excellently, unlike Bard)
