IA: A Teacher for Laynie

*The dark elf already had his weapons drawn. He drops a globe of darkness and vanishes from sight, moving to a different location. Little does the vile Nesfylim know that his opponent can sense the whispers of the earth around them, able to pinpoint the exact location at which to strike.*

If Vanitri can sense where the Princess's bonds are, he will cut them all (full attack). If not, he will take a full defensive action, waiting for his opponent to try to sieze his observed opertunity.

(OOC: He can sense the location of the princess, but he doesn't have fine details like the bonds. He can probably feel for them with his hands and then cut one. Doing that or full defense? Also of note: The enemy's current location is 10 feet away because he stepped in, so a 5 foot step would allow a full attack. Also, there may be more coming soon after the shout)

*The dark elf seemed to be a seasoned warrior from the way he moved, but this proves no obstacle in the face of desperate determination. Stepping forward with the Sabre of the Wanderer at the ready, the avenging Freefolk, eyes closed and sense in tune with the earth, slices at the hidden Nesfylim with the fury of the raging storm, seemingly unhindered by the darkness at all. With six quick strikes, the foul invader gasps and falls to the ground, clutching in death at the wound that spears through its heart.*

[SBLOCK=OOC]The only attack that missed due to concealment was also a miss due to low roll, so:

Sneak Attack!

SotW 17 + 19 = 36 (Confirmed), 19 + 14 = 33 (Confirmed), 7 + 9 = 16, One Miss.
Dark Elf takes 61 Damage!

MB 6 + 19 = 25, 11 + 14 = 25, 10 + 9 = 19, One Miss.
Dark Elf takes 53 Damage and Dies Horribly--Crime Doesn't Pay!

I forgot the +1 vs Underground to hit, so all those rolls should be +20, etc. Doesn't change anything.
[/SBLOCK]

*He hears the sounds of footsteps as he feels for the bonds, and he eventually finds one of the two sets around her arms and cuts it loose, leaving only the set around her legs remaining. The captured girl sighs slightly and stirs, perhaps due to the sounds of the short skirmish. There is a muffled curse in Undercommon followed by:*

"What in the Dark's Lord's name did that?"

*Feeling the pulse and heartbeat of the earth, the princess's rescuer is able to determine the location of the dark elf speaking precisely--and also that there is another behind him.*

Vanitri cuts the other bonds, and then d-doors down to the ground outside (Assuming he can) with the girl.

*After reaching the ground with the girl, he hears the sounds of the dark elves searching for the intruder to no avail.*

"She's gone!" one of them shouts.

*The girl's eyes flutter open, though her mouth is still gagged, she at first gazes wide-eyed in terror, but her expressive blue eyes mellow to a look of gratitude and relief as she sees the features of her rescuer.*

Vanitri makes a break for the woods, and whistles for his steed. He removes the gag if he can do it without droping her, but is more concerned about getting out of here.
