"Is Ethics a new kind of magic? If not, can't we wait until after the magic first? You still can't even do any spells yet, you know, Uncle Vanitri."

"Well, just got out of class, but I have to study and work on final projects. As I said, I may have a few, but I'm going to need to check my schedule first--I can't keep track of it all in my head, y'know?"

 

[Bront]

"Ethics are the things that guide us Layni. It's why I chose to give up adventuring for a bit to care for you for example. It's just as important as magic, if not more so."

"Well, check away, I'm done for the day."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"The things that guide us? Like Mommy?"

"Sure, but I have to work on a project first. I'll catch you later in the room?"

 

[Bront]

"Well, it's stuff your Mommy would have taught you eventualy I'm sure. And Daddy too."

"Sounds good. We'll take my horse, so you'll waste as little of your precious time as possable."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Well, okay. But if it's boring like the last one, I might get bored."

"Are you making fun of me," Elektra sticks out her tongue, "Why don't you try 12 classes, then? Anyway, a horseback ride sounds nice."

 

[Bront]

"Unfortunately, not everything is fun and games Laynie. Please try, for me ok?"

"It got you to laugh, didn't it?" Vanitri says with a smile.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Awwww...okay, but I'd rather read the Codex Anathema," Laynie sulks, pouting and raising her eyebrows, making a sad face.

"Okay then. See you in a bit!" Elektra heads off as Vanitri continues looking through the texts. A few hours later, she returns, "Okay, finished. Anyway, you were saying I needed to slow down? Well, I guess I can look at my schedule. Did you have anything in mind?"

 

[Bront]

"None of that young lady. You can read that afterwards, ok?"

"Well, a nice ride into the city, a fine dinner, perhaps a little dancing. Sound like fun? You think Truman could watch Laynie? She's just happy to find a book to read."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Okay..." Laynie takes the new book and looks it over, before heading over to start reading it. Of course, now Vanitri has to read it too.

"You have a horse? Neat! A horseback ride sounds nice, and dinner would be fun...Well, I need to check my schedule to see if there's anything in the next few days, but in a week and a half after finals, I'll definitely have evenings open. Okay?"

 

[Bront]

Vanitri will read it as well, as he promised.

"Yup, Rambler, he's in the stables here. Hopefully you'll have time sooner rather than later. Some time to relax before finals would do you well you know."
