IA: A Teacher for Laynie

*Elektra curtsies in response.*

"Thank you kindly, Mister Duskrider. Now I'd best get a short rest, and you need your long one, I'd wager. This ring is really helping me understand how an elf feels when all her companions sleep for so much longer than she."

"I'll trust you not to decide to ravish me in my sleep then, though you're welcome to if you so choose," Vanitri says with a wink and a grin.

OOC: You know the plans, and the drill :)

OOC: He'll do some research off and on, try to help Lex/woo her (massages, research help, bounce off questions, etc), spend time with Laynie, smooze some of the profs, and get a plan for his classes.

*The next morning, as Vanitri heads off to do a bit of research, he sees a lot of students whispering in the halls. Looking around for someone he recognises, he sees Layna Larinas, probably headed to research herself from her graduate dormitory room.*

"Gaark Bruskran committed suicide last night. Apparently, he couldn't stand the stress of the final exams. How horrible...it doesn't happen often, something like that."

"Did you know him? Seems like a harsh step." Vanitri looks on to see if he can see anything odd. Perhaps later he'll see if he can help look around.

"I didn't know him well, no. But I knew who he was because he was the only half-orc in the Academy. You don't often even see a half-orc applicant, let alone one who can pass the test. They decided to take him in despite the fact that he didn't get stellar results probably from a combination of the novelty and the Rayne Liore's support in a request to show kindness to a boy trapped between two worlds."

"I guess in the end, it wasn't so kind after all."
