Thael stands and turns to his companions: "Thank you for your help, friends. If you don't mind, I will need some rest before we continue, as I have been injured by this artefact and from my fall earlier. I will also take the opportunity to study this things a bit more. Once I catch my breath, I suggest that. We should get the boy and the girl back above ground, so they are safe, and we can continue exploring this fascinating place.

OOC: It's too bad Thael doesn't have a 100gp pearl to cast identify! ;-)
I'm asking for a short rest so Thael can recove [roll0] HP
He'll also inspect carefully the artefact
arcana [roll1] lus [roll2] from guidance
history [roll3] lus [roll4] from guidance

I imagine the boy wakes up. Is the girl conscious?

"Kilvo! We could have restricted that thing if you pulled at it instead of the trigger! And now we have no knowledge of what else prowls around! And we lost an artifact!"

Ersarkess takes a breath
"And you could have hurt Thael. Killing was supposed to be last option when there is something unknown, you never know who or what you can anger"

Ooc: I'm fine with short rest. We could try to get that timeless brewer out too

Kilvo glares at this man he doesn't really know giving him the tongue-lashing. When he's finished with the rant, the dwarf calmly steps forward and glares hard. "Aye. And ye'd be best off rememberin' those words yerself."

He calmly steps off toward the splattered creature and takes an etched stone out of his pack. He kneels at the largest piece of whatever is remaining and starts a low chant.

OOC: Cast identify as a ritual.

[sblock=Identify]Amiolas
An anchor used to contain a soul of someone sentenced to death, but forced to live. If worn, the artifact is extremely difficult to move (DC 20 Athletics or Acrobatics) and the soul contained in the Amiolas shares itself with its host. This can be benevolent or malevolent, and if the Amiolas wishes to it can cast a Dominate Person spell once per day with a DC of 15.

This particular one is now broken, but the fragments are very very very old.[/sblock]

The party takes a short rest. Both the boy and the girl recover to some degree. Sorwheel thanks you for finding his sister, but she seems to still be in a bit of a stupor. Exposition there probably withheld for a bit.
