D&D 5E [IC] Adventures in Ashwell: The Edge of Dispater

Kilvo draws his thunder cannon and puts the barrel up against the thing. "You boys gimme th' word and I'll give ye a good look at its insides. I prefer me ancient artifacts t'be less alive, anyway!"

It seems that you collectively end up pulling Thael across the room with the metalic creature still attached.

Does Kilvo still want to take a shot?

Raghnall grunts with exertion once again his strength has failed him. Raghnall taps the thing attached to his companions head and barks "Release him, before I tie you to the back of a horse and drag you across the plains" Raghnall cycles through all the languages he knows Sclyvendi,Dûnyanic and Xianic.

OOC: Is the thing already attached to Thael's head? Not sure I want to chance blasting a hole in him, too... If not, then yeah I'll take a shot. If yes then I'll hold. For now.

OOC: It's currently on one of his arms, probably upper shoulder. On it's turn it'll restrain. On the following round it will attach. It's not going for the head.

Kilvo's shot of thunder strikes the creature solidly and deals significant damage to the thing. It's bits scatter across the floor, heavily damaged. It seems to stop moving.

Raghnall smiles at Kilvo before looking at his weapon and his ssmile is replaced with a frown. "A Cowards weapon" Raghnall mutters in his native tongue

Thael is temporarily deafened and disoriented at having such a loud shot right next to his head, but he is grateful that he is no longer in danger. Then, reality comes rushing to his consciousness: No! The artifact! I hope I can still learn from it! He mumbles first, and then aproaches the thing and whispers softly to it in Kûnüric: "my lord, are you still with us? Forgive my companion's actions, they were afraid for me...[/i]

OOC: Casting guidance again. Does the thing respond?
