Thael carefully moves from the creature in front and says. "Fire at the sorceror, not the creatures!"

OOC: Thael takes the disengage action and moves as far as possible in the direction of the children but still within range of his crossbow (next round) FYI, I am sorry in advance if I hold the game up a bit this week. I'm travelling internationally on business and will try my best to keep up.

Also, you're pretty sure that orb is a Chorae, a creation of negation magic (The "Aporos") that is the antithesis to arcane spellcasters, the more powerful the caster the stronger the negation.[/sblock]

Ersarkess produces kind of susurrus that is barely heard around him, but the sorcerer startles, moving his head from one side to the other as if surprised by loud noise that won't stop. Thinking about the feeling of duality while holding the orb, Ersarkess concludes that the item doesn't like his half-breed nature, but that it is dangerous to hold. Therefore, he tosses it at the adjacent monster. Not to strike or harm, just so that it catches it (if it bothers) or that it bounces away from its skin. If it is dangerous, maybe it does something to the monster. At the very least, it is not in his hand anymore.

The spellcaster fails his save but not his concentration. You throw the sphere connecting with the lesser Ciphrang. The creature screams out in horror and its entire body turns to salt, the sphere now embedded somewhere in the middle of it.

The horrible things attack, one missing Rhagnall who retaliates. Both hit Ersarkess for 2 damage each. One misses Kilvo and one misses Thael.

The spellcaster in turn enjoys his circumstances. "Who to kill first..." He looks over the group. "Weeper. You will fall first."

He casts frostbite (DC 14) for [roll0] cold damage against Esarkess and disadvantage on the next weapon attack roll he makes before the end of his next turn.

Parties turns.
