D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

Dent stood his ground and repeated his actions; he attempted to shove prone the duergar in J27, then sliced at the creature with his longsword. He started to wonder whether they'd wind up with a raft of duergar bodies blocking the door, and made a mental note to wade into the room before such an event came to pass.

OOC: It's possible the wall and the diagonal grant half cover to J27 and to Dent. Not sure.

Move: None
Bonus Action: Athletics to shove prone J27 [roll0].
Action: Attack J27 with longsword [roll1] with advantage if Athletics check is successful [roll2] for [roll3] damage.
Reaction: Fighting Style (Protection) on first ally w/i 5' of Dent who is attacked by a foe...probably Tolan.

Thaliss spell is effective, as is Tolan's attack, and Dent's. This kills the dwarf.

Damien cursed the tight quarters preventing him from killing anything. Nevertheless, he reloaded his crossbow and waited to see if an opportunity would present itself. He opted not to move closer to the others in the event the dueregar has a spellcaster among them.

OOC: Action - Ready to Attack, Attack: [roll0], Damage [roll1]
Move: None

HP: 30/39 (10 THPs)
AC: 16
Spell Slots: X/1/-/-/-

Notes
Armor of Agathys

Aridha continues to play her part in the Assembly Line of Death, roping another duergar with thorny vines and hauling him over to the murder machines that lay in wait!

[roll0] to hit J27 dwarf for [roll1] and drag to K27.

Aridha pulls a dwarf in and Damien bolts them.

The dwarves seem to be getting angry. The one at the front now gets REALLY angry. And bigger.

And because the dice gods apparently like this, he happens to critically hit Tolan for 15 damage.

His friends behind him, however, are mostly miserable. A couple disappear out of sight around the corner.

As the creature grows before his eyes, Carradoc finds he suddenly has a target, and aims a chilling blast oboe the heads of his companions.

[roll0]; if successful [roll1] necrotic damage, no healing.

Tolan stares down the gigantic dwarf, unimpressed by parlor tricks. He is more impressed by the heavy blow just inflicted upon him, however, and takes the reasonable recourse of trying to insert his blade through his foe's body.

OOC: Action: Attack vs. giant duergar

attack - [roll0]
damage - [roll1]

AC: 19 HP 19/41
Exhausted 1: Disadvantage on ability checks.

Dent mistrusted magic. The duergar had, before his very eyes, doubled in size, and no spellcaster was discernible. He shrugged; at least the dwarf presented a more ready target now that it was larger. Hoping to knock down the large duergar and perhaps squish into jelly the smaller dwarves behind it, Dent attempted a shove and slice.

OOC: Move: None
Bonus Action: Athletics to shove prone J27 [roll0].
Action: Attack J27 with longsword [roll1] with advantage if Athletics check is successful [roll2] for [roll3] damage.
Reaction: Fighting Style (Protection) on first ally w/i 5' of Dent who is attacked by a foe...similar to last time, this is probably Tolan.

Thaliss could finally see a Dwarf, a giant dwarf at that. He was amused by the contradiction and aimed an eldrich blast at it.

OOC: Action: cat eldrich blast on giant dwarf
attack [roll0]
damage [roll1]

All of the attacks seem to hit, the Eldritch blast finishing off the Duergar. His body reverts to normal size, but you still have a pile of corpses in the doorway now.
