Aridha switches to her sword, casting her staff to the ground and drawing it in one movement, then slashing an arc in front of her at the dwarf!

[roll0] to hit for [roll1] damage.

Dent adjusted the grip on his longsword and tried to shove L27 to the ground. Then he swung.

OOC: Move: None
Bonus Action: Athletics to shove prone [roll0]
Action: Attack J27 with longsword [roll1] with advantage if Athletics check is successful [roll2] for [roll3] damage.

Aridha and Dent kill the front-most dwarf.

The dwarf at the front after his fallen ally drops fired his hand crossbow at Aridha missing twice.

The enlarged dwarf moves, throws a javelin, and moves back. It seems to be thrown in the general direction of the part and Dent swats it out of the air.

The dwarf behind him draws his melee weapon and charges forward, attack Tolan when he's in the room.

"How many of these creatures are there?" Carradoc asks. He marvels at the creature's growth, and wonders about a legend he has heard that they also can turn invisible. If that's the case, they'll need to be careful once they think the battle is over.

Carradoc takes a step back (to O26), and fires Chill touch at the Duergar at L27.

OOC: Arcana check for Duergar knowledge: [roll0].

To hit: [roll1] (If there's disadvantage [hopefully not!] the worse of that and [roll2]. If it's a hit, damage = [roll3] necrotic.

Carradoc hits.

[sblock=Carradoc]Duergar are definitely rumored to be innately talented with invisibility and enlarge effects similar to the spells.[/sblock]

Dent frowned at the batted-down javelin. A dwarf with a javelin was a surprise, not something he'd seen before. It set him ill at ease. He found comfort in the tang of his steel as it sliced and parried at the latest quarry in the doorway.

[sblock=OOC]Dent knows nothing of duergar or their innate ability to cast invisibility. He's seen these duergar englarge, so he'll know about that by direct experience--though he wouldn't necessarily know to generalize the experience to allduergar (maybe these ones are special because they've been in the monastery?). I imagine Dent will be quite shocked to be confronted by invisible dwarves. #wickedfun!
