D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

OOC: I'm not sure if Carrodoc is a level below me or not. I think the enemy warlock was in that square previously. Either way, even treating it as difficult terrain, I should be able to move to where I need to go.

OOC: Yeah he is on the floor below. Hard to visualize that on the map.

OOC: Hold up, I need to make a correction. I didn't factor in bane, and it could have mattered.

*** Nevermind, it didn't end up changing anything.

Now bleeding heavily, Tolan nonetheless ignores his own wounds and faces off against the female reaver, matching his skill against hers. Memories of his training flood back to him as he goes through his forms.

Dent felt irritation flood his chest. His gut tightened, but so did his grip on his sword. The battle was more pitched than he liked. He felt an abiding hatred for the blue-skinned woman burn the tips of his ears, and he gave in to that delicious hatred, plunging his longsword at the malformed boar-man before him. Silence born of focus welled within him like cotton wool, dampening sound; the boar-man would die. Dent ceased chanting the ritual incantations he'd learned at his own keep in Mirabar--what were the Gods anyway but a fiction to assuage the weakhearted--and put all his effort into concentrating on his spell- and sword-work.

OOC: Move: None.

Action: [roll0] with longsword for [roll1] on Grimmjaw. Divine Smite (only on a successful attack roll) for an additional radiant [roll2]. Will burn a 1st-level spell slot to use Divine Smite if the attack roll is successful. Also, maintain concentration on bane.

Reaction: Dent will use Fighting Style (Protection) on Thaliss to impose disadvantage on an attack made on Thaliss by a creature Dent can see.

Dent's blade strikes right into the belly of the beast and is unceremoniously turned away by the creature's strange hide. Grimmjaw squeels with glee. "Came here unprepared didn't cha?" Then the searing starts and the room begins to smell like burnt fat. "SQEEEEEEEE!"

OOC: Dent's attack was a hit, but only the radiant damage got through..

No map update since nothing moved.

Carradoc is safe in the darkness. Except he can't see, which means this is no ordinary darkness. Using his led hand as a guide along the steps, he moves until he exits the Dark, whereupon he finds himself across the table from Grimmjaw, who last he saw was unconscious on the ground.

He holds out three fingers, pointing them all at the man-beast, as he shouts "Burn, baby, burn." As he does so, the jade stone around his neck glows momentarily brighter and three rays extend from his fingertips towards the foul creature. His fingers are blackened by the experience, as the light fades from the stone, and he retreats back into the darkness.

OOC: Move to P6 (20')
Fire Scorching ray, all three rays at the pig-man
Ray 1: [roll0]. If a hit, damage=[roll1]
Ray 2: [roll2]. If a hit, damage=[roll3]
Ray 3: [roll4]. If a hit, damage=[roll5]
Move to O6 (5')
