When they wake up, the others see Carradoc scrawling fiercely in his notebook. "Got an idea last night. Just came to me," he says.

Damien awoke feeling incredibly refreshed and, oddly enough, slightly more powerful. Before he could even stretch, Archandros' voice boomed in his head.

It has come to my attention that I have, PERHAPS, been somewhat stingy with allocating you from my unending power. Your miserable performance against the snake-woman yesterday laid truth to that claim. Now, go out and do evil!

Shocked awake, the warlock twisted his neck and cracked his knuckles before standing. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel great! So what's the plan? Bugbears, then priest? Other way around? Do we want to try to lure them here and ambush them?"

Dawn finds Tolan already awake and practicing his sword forms. He alternates between stances using the crab shield and ones with a two-handed grip. His near death experience has hardened him, and his movements are even quicker than before. The shark-toothed blades and magical healing from Dent has left his torso covered in a fine web of scars, toughening his hide to the consistency of leather.

As the others begin to awaken, he looks around the room.

"We should strike early this morning, before anyone notices anything amiss."

OOC: Look for the north tower and bugbears first? Or clear out the walls and guardhouse?

OOC: Could I please know a result for Dent's Insight roll re: whether Dent thinks Tom's speaking truth, Creamsteak?

Dent scrubbed at his eyes and sat up. He hadn't slept well. Then again, he never slept well, and was getting used to lack of sleep as a way of being.

A thought inveigled its way to consciousness. Dent stood, took a few minutes to strap on the many pieces of his mail, then went in search of ale from the kitchen. He drank a large cup, then pulled a mug from the barrel and took it to Tom. "Wake up. Drink." Dent plunked the mug of ale on the ground next to the captive. "By the grace of the gods, you're still alive. A question. Have you seen a Mirabar soldier here? An officer, perhaps?" Dent watched Tom carefully for his answer.

Tom rubs his eyes and questions where he is. When he sees Dent's face staring at him again he shudders. "I... um... I didn't see everyone they took. There could have been an officer. Shoalar would have known. Or maybe Jolly."

OOC: Dent thinks Tom told the truth.

Also I missed that Damien's dagger would have dropped out of snake lady post transformation back.

Marcus Dent grunted. Tom's lack of knowledge seemed sincere but confirmed the man's uselessness. Dent left Tom to his own devices, making a mental note to mention to the others that Tom ought to join his colleagues in sleeping with the fish. For now, however, he said nothing.

Dent went in search of Damien. "Tom has said there are three bugbears in the north tower. Then there's Drosnin in the closest building, the chapel, probably with at least two men. And, back at the river, he told us there were men in the south tower as well, with Reash. I think the bugbears first."

Damien was reading through the notes on the table at the west end of the hall, hoping for some indication of what had happened to the delegation when Dent approached.

Not looking up from the notes he said, "Hmmm? Maybe? I think we should take out their leadership. I would imagine the remaining priest would be the one we should kill first, plus his door is closest, less likely that we'll get spotted. After that, maybe we could just tell the bugbears to leave..."

Cloaking himself with an illusion of Jolly, he said, "Maybe we won't even have to fight?"

OOC: Do the notes contain anything of interest?

Dent considered. "Drosnin's closer, sounds like. Not sure how far off the north tower is. Didn't get a good look in the dark last night. If we strike the chapel first, we'll be wanting to enter then seal it off straight away. I don't want three overgrown bugbears and a host of men at our backs while we take on Drosnin. It were a close enough call last night with Jolly and his mooks. You know anything about this Drosnin? Is he a sniveling almstaker on behalf of the poor, or a magic user?" Dent's intonation made clear he had no use for those who helped the weak.

"I don't know anything about these people. Ask Thaliss, he might. He seems to at least know all of the meat shields." Damien replied, flipping through to the next note.
