D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

The Abbess manages to hold her ground. Dent misses.

OOC: Map fixed. I guess Faerie Fire would have ended.

Aridha takes... 9 less damage because of your fighting style Protection. So Aridha went 33 - 18 - 16 and is still down. I updated the prior post.

(OOC - Actually, taking damage while dying causes a 'fail' on a death save. So Ari has 1 fail before even rolling. :( And yep, concentration spell ends.)

OOC: If the monk hit Aridha instead of attacking someone else after she dropped unconscious, it would cause two failed death saves. Any attack on an unconscious person within 5' has advantage and is a critical hit. Critical hits on dying characters cause two death save failures.

Damien frowned at the turn of events. Focusing on his opponent, he stabbed with short rapier and dagger, then dashed away, provoking attacks from the two monks he faced. Moving around the room, he tried to get closer to the fallen druid.

OOC: Action: Attack Monk - [roll0], Damage - [roll1]
Bonus Action: Attack Monk - [roll2], Damage - [roll3]
Move: AM26

HP: 40/39 (5 THPs)
AC: 16
Notes:
Armor of Agathys: Deal 10 cold damage against melee attackers while THPs exist

OOC: Crit Damage on the Dagger: [roll0]
I don't know how many rolls of 1 I've gotten on that freakin' short sword, but it's been a lot. Seriously...

Just as Tolan recovers from the Abbess's attack, he sees Aridha fall beside him.
*No, cannot allow that to distract me, must focus on the task at hand.*
He allows himself to find the comforting embrace of his fighting stance and tries to engage.

OOC: Bonus Action: Rage
Action: Attack Abess (AO24)

attack - [roll0] 13
damage - [roll1] 10

AC: 19 HP: 36/41
Rage: round 1/10 (2/3 rages used) (1/1 frenzy used)
Resistance to Bludgeoning, Slashing, Piercing
Advantage on Strength checks
Exhausted 1: Disadvantage on Ability Checks

Thaliss moves in front of the door to see the abess, casts a spell at her, and moves back to where he was.

OOC: Move to al21, and then back to am 20 once spell is cast
Cast frostbite at the abess: con save (DC 15) or target takes 1d6 con damage and has disadvantage on the next weapon attack roll before the end of its next turn.

Note: [MENTION=552]Creamsteak[/MENTION], can you clarify, does this disadvantage apply to unarmed attacks (or if you prefer, unarmed weapon attacks)? here's the complete spell description: [sblock]
Frostbite
Evocation cantrip
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous
You cause numbing frost to form on one creature that
you can see within range. The target must make a
Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target
takes 1d6 cold damage, and it has disadvantage on
the next weapon attack roll it makes before the end of
its next turn.
The spell’s damage increases by 1d6 when you reach
5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6).[/sblock]

Helenrae avoids Tolan's attack.

OOC: I'm not positive. I'm thinking that frostbite doesn't technically affect it?

Helenrae seems to resist the frostbite's damage.

(When it's Carradoc's turn)

Carradoc continues to run around the room for the door that he saw at the other end. he gets there, opens it up, and then fires chill touch at the abbess. "Zap," he says with eldritch intensity, as he bends the laws of nature to his will.

OOC: Move to AR 24.
(open door -- free interaction; please do't be locked -- the other one wasn't locked)
Chill touch: [roll0] to hit; if successful [roll1] necrotic damage, and Abbess can't heal.
