Willow gets back in the saddle, gives her horse an appreciative pat on the neck, and rides after the eager little ranger.

Gul cast his eyes over the scene of battle, tucking the adamantine ball bearing into his pouch as he did so. He mounted his steed and checked that his pack and the staff were secure while waiting for Davaros to make his own preparations.

When the two of them left to catch up with the others, he knew the scavengers would come out. Doubtless the massive corpse of the female giant would keep a pack of jackels fed for several days..
 




Tracking the giant north you find yourself approaching the ruins of Nesmé, a city destroyed by maruading orcs aided by a white dragon many years ago.

The fire giant, along with twenty hobgoblins, enters the ruins through a gash in the outer wall. Eight human figures on horseback seem to be watching the road that leads south from the ruined city along the Surbrin Trail.

"This is Nesmé, Whist!" Bellalalalalinda says as she approaches the city. She veers towards the horsemen, and if they do not look aggressive, begins to approach.
 

Willow looks at the riders uneasily. "They seem a little too comfortable with the giant and hobgoblins..." she says over her shoulder to Davaros.

Still, she urges her horse forward, not wanting Bell to be alone with them.
