"Be careful, they are Zhents! They have a bad reputation, I hope they have not allied with the fire giants!"
Since Davaros was still riding with Willow, Gul kept his horse abreast of theirs, pulling his hood up and making sure the staff of the Vonindon was covered over.
"Members of an organisation called the Zhentarim, who seek financial and political power in these parts. They used to be associated with followers of Bane and Cyric."
Bellalalalinda winks acknowledgement, and she rides onward, high on Whistler's shoulders. As the small gnome approaches them, she stops about 30' away, and calls out.
"Hey! What are you doing here? Don't you see that fire giant? Do something! There will be financial and political power for those that do!"
Willow looks at the riders uneasily. "They seem a little too comfortable with the giant and hobgoblins..." she says over her shoulder to Davaros.
Still, she urges her horse forward, not wanting Bell to be alone with them.
Davaros silently wishes he had his steed, which would be useful in the event of an altercation. The woman's body helped, but there were greater problems that distracted him.
"Yes, they also seem as if they are hiding something, and they don't have any manners!".
The warrior stands ready to jump off Dawn's horse and fight on foot, if necessary.
Gul eyed the surroundings, looking for a safe place to leave his mount. "Are we intending to attack the giants and a whole score of hobgoblins? Because I don't normally fight on horseback..Maybe we should trail them for a ways and get out of sight of the Zhents, so we don't end up fighting them too?"
Bellalalalinda wants to bypass the Zhentarim and head to the city. Not to fight the fire giant, but to learn more. Her convictions are not deeply held, and she can be swayed to another course of action with a polite suggestion.
