The results of perception/investigation checks are included. You found the spikes that held the doors (temporarily)open and you found a lever to open the same door that the key opens.
Caer's Passive perception sees the broken arrows on the ground (that Anson failed to spot)

Beyond the door stands a small room with a lever next to another stone door, already open. Beyond that door, a set of steep stairs leads down into darkness.

Anson notes that the second door has been wedged with a spike to keep it open. The door from area 2 was likewise spiked. He also discovers a hidden latch that opens the door into the intersection where they just came in from.

At the bottom of the stairs, chamber of this area holds only a pair of stone columns, but a dark hallway leads north toward a T-intersection and an east–west corridor. It isn't until Anson begins walking down the south passage that Caer notes a number of broken crossbow bolts around the Northwest column and the northern wall of the initial chamber.

Suspecting a trap, Anson checks the floor and walls but there doesn't seem to be anything. If there was one, it probably has been disarmed or triggered already.

There is no light here so disadvantage on Perception checks and, unless you have darkvision, it is completely dark and you are blinded.

Words echo in Benny's mind. He grabs a pebble and channels magic. He repeats the words out loud: "The light of Pelor!" and bright light erupts from the pebble. He nods hesitantly at Stratus.

Benny's spell brings light, and Anson holds out his palm to produce a second source of illumination. It's not as bright, but he produces a golden flame in his hand and holds it aloft.

As the group proceeds down the hallway, someone steps on a pressure plate and bolts launch from the southern wall. Two fly wide but two others strike Havoc and Stratus.

When you reach the end of the hallway, to the west is a dead end. To the East is a portcullis and a lever, with stairs seen just beyond. The portcullis is already open. It is wedged with a spike so that it cannot be closed. A set of stone stairs leading down to a landing, then turns to the south. From beyond the bend, a faint rise of flickering light intermittently dances across the walls

Continuing down, an entry chamber at the bottom of the stairs features a statue of Wee Jas next to an open stone door. It can be easily noticed that the door is spiked open.

As you continue forward, voices from ahead are raised as if in argument, but are too far away for any details of the conversation to be heard. How do you proceed?2

After the arrow trap, Stratus took a moment to attend to his and Havok's wounds. He then proceedec cautiously as they arrived at the bottom of some stairs, heard voices, and found a statue and door. Because of the trap, he was particularly wary of the statue, in case in held something similar.

OOC: Stratus will attend to Havok with the Healer Feat. He can spend a Hit Die to regain HP, plus an extra 2. He'll then use Lay on Hands on himself to heal himself 10, leaving him at 20/28.
