It *is* a valid concern... should we go back to the hut and copy the patterns? Or perhaps the proper pattern has been worn into the stone? There is a lot of moss after all

A hurried trip back to the hut (only a few hundred yards) will gather enough etchings to have a good idea. (ooc: perhaps an investigation check is in order).

Chrysagon turns the place upside down, talking to himself while opening roughly everything "You can run but you can't hide, necromancer. You think this wall gonna stop me? It will not be in my way for long."

"Ha! here you are!", he says, turning to his companions and brandishing a sheet of paper with some gibberish symbols on it.
"Hum, is that what we are looking for?"

OOC: Investigation : 1D20 = [15] = 15

Miss Imogen returns to find the group scrambling around the small hut, looking for clues. She has been delayed and has restocked on her arrows. When she arrives, she remains outside, letting others investigate. As she waits, she sets herself on a stool outside, removes her lute from her shoulder and unpacks it, and elegantly begins picking out a simple tune.

Performance: [roll0] (possibly +2 more since proficient Lute).

OOC: I think Dellrak already tried, so he would have stayed back and guarded the ziggurant. Knowing the hut wasn't far he could call out if things get hairy.
Hiding behind a tree. Stealth [roll0]
Disadvantage [roll1]
Bow in hand.

Advantage now, actually, since Xanathar's came out. Skills and tools that ought to stack together grant advantage.

Miss Imogen played a beautiful, slightly haunting tune on her lute while Chrysagon discovered Viplo's etchings, and Rodrigo discerned from the wizard's mad scribbled notations the order in which they should be traced. Also discovered among the overlooked papers was a scroll of protection from evil and good.

Returning to the ziggurat, the symbols were traced, softly glowing in the markings, and ancient elemental magics caused the very stone to slide around as if made from the body of serpents, until a doorway opened revealing a passageway leading down a steep slope into darkness.

"Wells in we go then." Dellrak says heading in about fifteen feet in front of the others. He takes off the battleaxe from its holder and replaces the elven longbow there.

OOC: Since there is no light Dellrak will take point, switching to the battleaxe, for tight quarters.
