"Perhaps we can jam the blades as we have the door."

Harb pulls out his tool kit and begins to try to jam up the blade slits in general, but near the bottom of the stairs specifically.

OOC: If we can use more of those spikes it would help, but if necessary he'll jam his sickle and darts into cracks as well.

Again the blades slid out of their hiding places in the floor and ceiling. Rodrigo hugged the wall, managing to avoid being sliced in twain, but still he was cut. Huddled together at the end of the hallway, he and Dellrak tried in vain to figure out the strange ancient mechanism that would cause the door to move aside. They could hear a single voice raised to a fever-pitch, as if someone not too far away (but on the other side of the stone wall) were yelling religious dogma or performing a vigorous arcane ritual.

OOC: Rodrigo is cut for [roll0] slashing. Chrysagon can come in with a sufficiently large log for a makeshift battering ram if @Fradak is ready to get back in the game

"Are those ... healing berries? Please Master Dellrak, have some yourself, this is but a scratch"

OOC: I only 2 took points of damage and I have second wind so I'm good , but thanks!

Turning to the monk he added "Good thinking Harb"

"Miss Imogen, can you tell what Brorther Chrysagon's progress on that ram? Someone inside is casting some kind of dire ritual, and I for one would like to interrupt it".

Chrysagon came in with a sizable log, and with only a quick tap for placement, the four men rammed the log through the intricately-carved stonework. Using the hole for leverage, they hauled the stone door aside, and found the way forward - deeper into the chamber under the ziggurat. The sound of the yelling was louder now and it seemed likely that someone was attempting some sort of arcane ritual.

OOC: I will update your map soon!

OOC: If he can Dellrak will draw forth one of his hand axes as they rush forward.
Found out yesterday, that Archery Combat Style doesn't work for melee weapons that have
the thrown property. Oh well, I'll improve with the bow or get a crossbow.

Harb took the lead as he was as-of-yet uninjured and had a fair chance of sneaking up on a mouse with all of this noise. He made a good pace, but cautiously so, checking around corners before turning them and keeping a watchful eye out for more traps with the light of the coin in his palm.

OOC: Stealth: [roll0]
Perception: [roll1]
