D&D 5E (IC) Fitz's Folly

Ghorrak growled in frustration. He knew he couldn't hurt the tomb guardian but was in the way of the people who could. He moved out onto the balcony and braced himself to grab the Tomb Guardian. This would also help him see if the size change was an illusion.

OOC: Moving to AC 11, readying an action to grapple the tomb guardian when it enters AC 12. Also I'm no longer poisoned.
Athletics: 1D20+7 = [16]+7 = 23

Chrysagon called up the corridor that everyone had disappeared to: We got company! Big bad tomb guardian coming our way.
To Dellrak he said: Dellrak... come back here. I think this is a better spot to fight.

OOC: More to come soon.

Chrysagon attacks the large tomb guardian when it gets close. He swings low first and strike the leg and next he follows up with a strike to the shoulder. The tomb guardian is limping is not looking in a good shape.

Move: to BV34. It doesn't look as we can reach each other in this round but you maybe want to fluff that, FitzTheRuke.
Action: Flail attack (sacred weapon) and damage: 1D20+10 = [18]+10 = 28
1D8+5 = [2]+5 = 7
1D20+10 = [8]+10 = 18
1D8+5 = [2]+5 = 7
Two hits for 14 HP.

Ussal spent too much time with the zombies and only started forward again as the shouting started. He looked at the body with some curiosity, but only cursory before he got called back to fight another tomb guardian.

He followed the reckless paladin who rushed forward instead of waiting to present the unified front with all the warriors.

He used the same trick as with the first one and the guardian started to glow almost immediately.

Move after Crystagon, as far as possible
Action: Heat metal

OOC: that's it for my second level slots - I cannot do the same to the third guardian

The scratches on the walls are confusing. but Miss IUmogen thinks she understands what's happening. Not why, or how, but for whatever reason, what.

As Ghorrak engages with the creature she had shot at previously, she finds she can't get a clean shot. For now, she stays where she is, guarding the access corridors and ensuring she is ready to shoot any other enemies that might appear.

"Ghorrak! Do you need a hand?" he calls down to him as he grapples. If he does, she'll be prepared t squeeze down and Help, next round.

Yassah

Yassah hissed in frustration. His temporary allies were between him and the tomb guardians. They needed to retreat down the side corridor to his left so they could attack the guardians from 3 sides.

"Qawasha, Myrral, Ghorrak! Get down here! We will have tactical advantage!" He yelled down the passageway.

With Dellrak at his side, Chrysagon smashed the Tomb Guardian with his flail. Ussal was behind them, and the yuan-ti caused the metal to heat up. It glowed and warped until the humanoid body encased within cooked and the thing fell to the ground in a clattering heap.

In the other, smaller hallway, the smaller tomb guardian struggled with Ghorrak, who dragged it down the hall toward the others, while the guardian, lifted off its feet, pounded on the orc's back with its fist.

"How do we destroy it?" asked Qawasha, "The other was impervious to Yassah's swords."

OOC: Chrys, Dellrak, & Ussal destroyed the larger TG. Smaller TG did 10 to Ghorrak.

"Drive it down here," urges Miss Imogen as she and Weed back up along the corridor they are standing in. When she sees it, she will attempt to launch two more arrows into the creature, while keeping a safe distance, even though she knows it might not be particularly effective.

The first arrow she draws falls uselessly at her feet, the clue on the fletching having dissolved in the jungle moisture and heat. The second flies true, however, but she cannot tell if it hits or only glances off the creature.

OOC: Miss Imogen and Weed can move up to 30' south, as long as the curve still allows a clear shot with no cover.

The first arrow is a miss (nat 1), but the second might hit: 1d20+4=15, for 1d8+14=18 piercing damage.
