Gorir,

Gorir sighed as the plan evolved into the heavily armoured members being bait. He could hardly complain, he'd used the same tactic numerous times, though he would prefer to have more tried and trusted warriors watching his back. "Just make sure you've got a plan before noon tomorrow." Squire Jern said as a terse farewell. They traveled along the river to the clearing.

Gorir stood in the clearing along with Magdalena. “I’m lighting a torch. I can’t see a thing,” she said. Gorir was about to abject, then remembered that they we supposed to be bait. When nothing happened Thadius joined them suggesting that they should go and check out the storehouse. "I take it you found nothing around the edge of the clearing then?"

"I didn't bother to look. I just wished to get out of town and to the storehouse, without the locals knowing our intentions." he says with a sly devilish grin.

Around the clearing, various trees, shrubs and plants can be found, some ideal for hiding and observing the plain. No signs of recent goblin activity can be found in the bushes, or any activity except the local wildlife for that matter. Some old tracks can be found on the paths and halfway up the clearing, footprints of various sizes and at least one cart trail. None appear to be recent.

“We can’t go to the storehouse yet,” Magdalena told Thadius. “We have to take care of this goblin problem first. If we do not, they will poison the town again, and innocent people will die. The storehouse will wait. It is not going anywhere.”

The brushed her dark hair out of her blue eyes and looked around the torchlit clearing for any out of place shadows, the torch in the center of the clearing sputtering and sparking quietly.

Traubon sighed heavily, this was not going as he thought it would, things were much more streamlined in the books he read. Decision were quickly made and agreed upon and no one mistakes a wizard for a cleric.

I agree with Magdalena, we have to deal with the goblin problem first, then make our way to the storehouse, it would make our cover story hard to believe if we did not at least try to address the goblin situation.”

"Oh is this a council meeting then?" the tiefling asks with mock sarcasm. "I didn't know we needed to vote to do the main thing we were sent here to do."

"But if you insist, mi'lady,
" he says with a courtly bow. "All those in favor of hiking back the hour and a half to town to drink the night away and then spend the morning waiting for noon, and the meeting to arrive, say aye."

He waits....

"And all those in favor to see this storehouse only a half hour north of here I remind you. And see if we can't just have it explored and be back to this spot before noon tomorrow?"

OOC: Sorry he is so full of himself - its the noble background, and him not being put in his place as of yet.

James appears from the bushes shaking a few leaves from himself as he does."I hate to say it, but his lordship is right two birds wi' one stone as they say"

Magdalena sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. “Helm grant me patience,” she prayed.

“Fine. Let’s find a good place around here to hide and wait in ambush. Maybe build a blind. We get here early, maybe two hours before noon so we have plenty of time to be situated. Then Jerm proceeds with the meeting with the goblin. Find the various paths in and out of here, see which might be more likely for the goblins to take, so we can cut them off. Maybe divide in two different forces to be sure to do that,” she told the others, looking around.

Her gaze focused on Thadius. “An objections, Your Insufferableness?” she asked.

“Council meeting, in the middle of the woods?” Traubon said quietly to himself, with a look of confusion on his face. He did like the idea of going back to town and drinking the night away but he felt it may not be a good idea to bring that up.
