[IC] SWS/DnD5, Star Wars the Old Republic – A Gathering Darkness

Jihahna lets out a breath of relief when the Rancor drops, before Nodding to Cal. "Good to go. Let's get this job finished..."

The team gathered at the board avenue through the maze of jumble odd-shaped buildings and headed deeper into the chamber. Advancing with some caution it took them less then ten minutes down the winding avenue to spot the great blue crystal pyramid!!! Those sensitive to the Force could feel the power gathered within that structure... and curing waves darkness and hatred. It was old and had long been dominate but it seemed to be awakening now!

This Gand and Cal were able to spot what appeared to be a large opening into the blue crystal pyramid at the top of a step like pyramid. They both also thought they saw the flash of metal or movement up there...

GM: The blue crystal pyramid is about 100 meters tall a wide. The stone step pyramid leading to what appears to be an entrance into the huge structure is about 15 meters high. The team is about 40 meters away from the structure at the edge of where the other buildings are. Between here and the great structure there are no buildings (its is open and dimly light in glowing blue)

Noting the distinct lack of cover, Cal glanced at the repurposed Sith battle droid and said, "Might be a good time to send the most expendable member of the team in first?"

The nameless one briefly considers, subtle red eyes taking in the scene... before noding full agreement. clacketty drone clickatty jumble whirr, guttural click slurr mumble hum, jumble whirr clacketty click "The battle droid can draw those ones into the open, so these ones can fire on thoses ones from range?"

She rushes up to take position, back pressed against the edge of and upside-down pyramid, pointing out a few other likely spots that might also give good angles on anything coming down the step-pyramid 'stairs'...

OOC: The plan would be: Set up in ambush. Send-in the droid. Ready action to fire/toss explosives on whatever shows... Thoughts?

Jihahna nods to the Gand, whispering. "We should maybe add a final component to the droid.... You have two of those err... 'power couplings' remaining right Gand?"She whispers as she points to the explosives on this Gand.

(OoC: Jihahna will either assist this Gand in installing a set of explosives on the back of the robot or something? Maybe she could make a mechanics roll or something?)

The little alien hesitates - maybe thrown off by the odd terminology? - then dips that idea in respect. It sets about carefully but efficiently extracting the gray detonite cubes from their padding, waiting for the dark-haired merc to bodge them onto the droid's metal frame before carefully arming both primers.

Presenting a little cylinder with a capped red button on top: jumble drone clicketty drone jumble whirr click "Does Jihahna Darut want the detonator?"

[sblock=OOC]Or anybody else that wants it, for that matter?

Set two cubes for radio-trigger detonation, please. Advantage thanks to Demolitionist talent: Charges are live: 2D20.HIGH(1)+5 = [16, 5]+5 = 21

Then take his/her place as described before, looking about for any enemy snipers that might have had the same idea. Don't know if the area is low light or not. If so, use only first roll: Copywrited material: 2D20.HIGH(1)+5 = [2, 5]+5 = 10. ugh[/sblock]

"I'm happy to deal with the uh, 'remote' for the droid Gand, yeah."

With that, Jihahna attempted to install the device, but something caused her to struggle. Her fingers were shaking far too much, the sweat on her brow was accumulating at a rapid rate despite the cool temperature of the chamber. She looked a little dazed at her inability.

She looked about at the others before muttering quietly... "I uh... Sorry, I don't.... This normally doesn't...."

She trails off as she raises her eyes to the central Pyramid, the lump forming in her throat reminding her of all her self doubt, all her fear... What if she wasn't good enough? What if she wasn't strong enough?

OOC: Mechanics check:

_: 1D20+4 = [7]+4 = 11
. Looks to be a failure to me:/. Gotta save my last two force points too for battle meditation and resistance.

... Out of the corner of her eyes she sees the gand off-handedly presenting his own canteen, for her to drink if she wants. drone jumble whirr "It doesn't matter." A soft buzz, eyes seeking her own: clacketty, whirr slur "Expendable, remember?"

OOC: I don't think we're in rounds yet, so take as many retries as you need, right? (Isn't it a Slicing roll to get the droid moving though?)

GM: You already made your slicing rolls vs. the droid. You only need to take an Action to order it to do something. At present, I think you are strapping explosives to the War Droid and sending it out to draw fire. Correct? Do you want it to advance up the stairs if nothing happens?? Just want to be sure before we move there. Yes we are out of rounds so you can re-try as often as you want but if you get a 1 something might malfunction, depending on what you are trying to do
